Destiny -genuine q- have you read any threads about it?

I haven't read too much about it, I've only played the demo and while it felt straight forward the gunplay did feel really well done.

In the end I just got Destiny, a little late to the party but I'm interested to play through it. I didn't want to buy more games that I may not have time for. There are always more big sales later on in the year so no harm in waiting.

So far I've picked up:

Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe
Enter the Gungeon (thanks to reqs in this thread)
Skyrim Special Edition
Lego Marvel Avengers Deluxe

I'm really considering The Witness from what's been said in this thread.

Prolly will pick up one or two more of these but might wait till end of year sale with everything else I have in my backlog:

Metal Gear Solid V Definitive
The Wolfenstein games
Marvel Ultimate Alliance Bundle
Deus Ex Mankind Divided Deluxe
Far Cry Primal Apex
Metro Redux Bundle
Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3

Any thoughts on which ones the best deal or which I should hold off on being cheaper?

Is metal gear worth getting?

I'm tempted by quantum break, but I think that this will be on the game pass real soon

Wolfenstein games have been cheaper - Deus Ex is pretty cheap physical but I don't think it's that much more digital right now. MUA ports are shit. Far Cry Primal might be worth a look. Metro is definitely worth if you like story driven and adventure type shooters. MGS bundle is great but with the prerequisite you have no bias towards the older games otherwise you'll probably get really mad at the plot like a lot of people.

I bought Blue Dragon. Damn I was so happy that I found my old savegame in the cloud. It will be difficult to get into the game after almost 10 years, but I want to finish it, because I liked it and already invested 16 hours into it.

Since I didn't get any responses in the Gears of War 4 OT, I'll ask here instead:
Hey guys, some questions from a perspective buyer. I'm on W10, and thinking of getting this game + the original.

Q1. How's the campaign? Worth playing?

Q2. How "alive" is the online?

Q3. How good is the netcode? I ask because I live in Pakistan so most of my matches are (most likely) gonna be with europeans.

Q4. What is the crossplay situation?

Defo go with Metro redux bundle at £6 I did.

hey man..question here is,have u played any of the older gears? if so,sure continue the story.

with that being said, campaign is okay..last chapters pick up but overall, there are some "horde" type of sections that i didn't enjoy and felt forced.

the online is def still going on..i never have problems joining a match.

net code is alright..gears is gears.sometimes i get a kill point blank, sometimes it doesn't register and u know what happens.

it's cheap,why not?

Only Gears I've ever played was the first one. Played it on PC, and never played GoW2 or 3 because I didn't have an X360.

Ehh, what the heck I'll go for it. Thanks for the info!

I bought Prey, Voodoo Vince, TWD: Michonne and The Witcher 2. At 2.99, I couldn't ask for a better price on that last one. I'm just hoping that I like it about one tenth as much as I liked the Witcher 3 and it will be worth it.

When does Crackdown get put on the store? I really want to grab it so I can do co-op with a friend who never got the chance to play it.

Just picked up Little Nightmares and Doom.

Edit: Oh, guess Crackdown only shows up in the Deals for Gold section and not on the Ultimate Summer Sale page. Grabbed it.

Since I'm not doing much XB1 gaming these days, decided to buy the Super Dead Rising 3 DLC for $2 during the sale and a cheap used copy of DR3, play through it quick and then return DR3 for a refund. It sucks I have to do this, but since the PC version never got the DLC, this is my only choice to play it.

How much was the cheap used copy?

BTW - I think this is a real shitty practice.

I liked the campaign a lot. It played a lot more like the original Gears than Gears 3, and the new characters are cool. Questions 2 and 4 fall into the same category, and the crossplay between W10 + Xbox One lets you link up with people across Horde, ranked, and social playlists, so you shouldn't have to worry about the population being too low. As far as netcode, I never really noticed anything wrong, but I play in the US, so I'm not sure how your connection will factor in.

I can only answer Q1 but I'd say so. It doesn't do anything new or unique and it doesn't quite reach the highs Gears 3 did for me but it is a very solid if safe campaign. I like the new characters and most of the environments look lovely. The new enemies didn't stand out enough to differentiate themselves from the Locust for me but that's okay. Really it depends on if playing a safe but solid campaign sounds good to you. The (quick) ending tease did get me interested in where they might take Gears 5 though.

Is TWD: A New Frontier a good continuation of the story? Even if S2 was a little weaker than S1, I still dug it but I haven't heard too much about the new season. How's Clem in the game?

Dead Rising 4 and DLC? Should I bite or wait for 20 bucks? I could still pick up the season pass for 8.

For reference, I really liked DR3.

No sale on Season Pass.. oh come on. The fact they split the saves makes it even worse. CDPR did the same but atleast the Pass is always on sale with the GOTY Edition.
GOTY has season pass included so its basicly $4 Season Pass with the game for free.

I don't play competitive MP so I can't help you there. But the campaign was really fun. I never have trouble finding a full game in Horde mode.
Thanks.

I assume it does but just for the sake of confirmation, I'll ask. Horde mode CAN be played in crossplay, right?

I'd have to restart the game from the start, I'm almost to the end and no way I'm going to do this. If this was like Ubisoft's bundles I'd have gone for it.

What I did not like about Horde mode in comparison to the other Gear games is that you cannot play it unless you are gold and always stay online.

Thinking on getting gears of war 3. Is there any online population left on this game or everyone is on gears 4 and ultimate edition?

In all media, only true fans who consume every book, film, game, or pog collection deserve to know what's going on.
Windows 10 Store is the biggest piece of shit I have ever had the displeasure of using.

That is all.

I've never had any issue with Windows 10 store, but that's not all. Why not give feedback as to why you think its bad instead of just shit posting?

Back on point. I bought Shadow of Mordor last night for $4. Feels good because I just traded in the physical copy for $20.

Been thinking of buying Wildlands since Tuesday. Told myself I'd sleep on it. Wednesday I still kind of wanted it. Said I'd sleep on it again. Now it's Thursday and I still kind of want it.

I'd be playing solo. I've heard that's not ideal. Still kind of want it, though.

Added Shadow of Mordor GOTY to my haul. Great sale for me so far.

My haul so far

The Witcher 3: Complete Edition
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Riptide GP Renegade
Superhot
Oxenfree
Overcooked

Not bad for $75. No idea how people out there buy every game day 1. I understand buying your 1 or 2 favorite franchises a year, but most people have massive backlogs and look at all the games + content I just got for the price of 1 brand new game. Heck, Deus Ex and Overcooked are less than a year old!

I have it and only play it solo. I'm enjoying my time with it.

Shit, I bought Shadow of Mordor from PSN a few days ago because it wasn't on sale for Xbox.

What's with the strange timing?

So, for $35.99.....how is Sniper Ghost Warrior 3?

I personally rated it a 6.5/10. On my rating scale, 6 is above average and 7 is good. I purchased it at launch due to the free season pass. Put around 70 hours or so and completed it 100% but also traded it in. Digitally, I wouldn't spend more than $20 on it. Physical, I would double it as long as I could get half back.

SGW3 was good for what I was looking for in regards to it being a cheap Far Cry clone. It gave me my fix but it had a lot of technical problems, the story/characters fall apart two thirds in and all three maps felt empty except for the few town areas.

Majority of the missions repeat destinations which was annoying and a lot of the maps were wasted in my opinion. Simply, SGW3 had a lot of potential that you can easily see when playing the game but they simply didn't execute. Another six months to a year delay would have been a far better decision than adding the free season pass. And the first "expansion" The Escape of Lydia" sucked.

Obviously up to you but unless you're really hyped and pumped to play the game now, I personally would wait if I was you.

I finished GRW last week. Almost 200 hours, all solo. I purchased the Gold Edition for $70 off PSN a few weeks ago. Overall, an 8/10. Has a lot of good stuff but the gunplay and shooting mechanics are off compared when playing The Division. Cover system is flawed. All outposts, etc. respawn. There's also flying side missions to get the supplies you need to acquire as they're attached to upgrading skills where there will be SAM missiles that will shoot you out of sky and you fail the mission. What's worse is that you can blow up the SAM missiles beforehand but it doesn't matter because they respawn which is fucking annoying.

There's a lot of stuff I love about GRW but the few things I dislike are just bad. I hate Unidad completely and like the Cartel outposts, there's no reason clearing them unless you have to do so because they repeatedly respawn which I hate. What's the point in clearing an outpost if they keep coming back?

Your AI team mates are average at best. There's no jump button which you need sometimes because it would make climbing easier at certain times.

Playing Narco Road, I had to quit two missions in out of aggravation and frustration because it's just so much bullshit.

Seriously, the game would easily be a 9/10 for me personally if they simply changed a few things but they didn't.

Thinking of getting Witcher 3 + Season pass, buying the individually rather than the complete edition is coming to $17 in my store. I think that's a killer price considering they are going to update the game for the One X which I most likely will buy.
