Game no longer a bomba!

Can't be a bomba if already a bomba.

I don't really get the reason to buy a Character Season Pass. Does anyone actually use all the DLC characters in a game? Even casually? I've never bought a season pass for characters (only season pass I ever bought was for Gears 3. Learned my lesson since by the time all the maps came out I had lost interest) and I usually stick to 3/5 characters in a fighting game. Dropping $30 on a group of characters that you don't even know you'll like playing as seems like a bad investment...

TOs need everyone for their set-ups, plus some people may want to practice against everyone or have everyone for when friends come over.

Not if you want variety. Whenever I play with other people, I'll go through different characters. If I play by myself, I'll stick to just a handful.

What if I want to play the character to learn what they can do and how to fight it in training mode?

I can see the merit in buying a season pass if you know all the contents. If you have people over all the time who might like those other characters. I don't give a shit about Roy or Lucas in smash but I bought them for my friends who come over often.

I do agree about buying a Season Pass blind. Especially when as of late a lot of passes are reduced before all of the content is even out. Seeing the Dead Rising 4 season pass on sale for 10 before all DLC was out was so sad/funny.

I do feel like this should become standard in fighting games though. You should be able to train agaisnt and use character in tutorial without buying.
Though I know the reason they don't is so people can't go "I don't like this character" and then not buy them.

I always make it a point to have all characters because I just like knowing it's complete.

Going to MVC3 tournaments would've been a hassle (pre PS4) for me since Jill wasn't always a guarantee on the console.

I did because I always have friends coming over my place and play the game, and also I do play random button with the friends so I don't have to pick my serious teams all of times. It's always fun for me to play with characters that I'm not familiar with and I might eventually main them in the future if I have time.

There are multiple reasons why someone bought all DLC

1. Tournament Organizer
2. For friends or family members to come over and play with their favorite characters
3. OCD/Collectors/perfectionist
4. Party rules like Random Button only, Theme teams only, sometime people would assigns certain characters for you to play via challenges.
5. Learn how the characters would works, and Become more familiar with the characters.
6. People love to work on the characters in the lab, and make combo video.

Capcom really needs to cut the "pay now, find out what you bought later" shit out.

Everyone needs to stop it. It's ridiculous.

If you're selling it, tell people what's in it. They don't have to give all the details or a gameplay breakdown, just the bare minimum.

I'm pretty sure that they are going to announce all 6 characters before the game release. I meant it's the reason why I believe that we are going to get few more trailers to see rest of characters from CP 2017.

I would agree knowing somewhat about it would sell my on deluxe besides the first 2 characters. I didn't buy SFV season 1 pass until I knew Urien was in it. Season 2 pass I haven't bought yet because it's a bunch of new characters I don't know anything about..

Nice responses. I wasn't really taking tournament organizers into account.

I'd be fine with Character Passes if this were a thing. I do think it kinda sucks that top players need to buy all the DLC characters in order to have match up knowledge. I think it'a one of the main reasons people initially had trouble against Shuma when he started showing up on a few teams. Few of the top players bought him so he was a character they hadn't trained against.

Rocket was already revealed when we got his teaser. I don't think we'll hear about Spider-Man until Comic-Con.

Ideally I'd like to have the "complete" game, but realistically I'm not going to use more than a handful of characters so it would be a big waste of money. What I'll probably end up doing is individually buy the few that I'm likely to actually use, and look for a complete release/DLC sale at deep discount down the line.

Almost no one used Jill or Shuma because they were both terrible.

I wonder if DLC characters will get the short end of the stick in MVCi.

Shuma has been in top 8 of EVO multiple times. And by different players too.

He has definitely been part of some hype moments in the game's legacy.

Yeah and Jill had....

Oh wait, I think Windzero beat Chris G at Evo once with her? And a few Jills online were really good....I guess...

Marketing for this game is so bad that I would be hype as hell if they announced a delay.
Ok.

The worst part of the marketing for me has been the lack of fucking official artwork. Capcom has or works with great artist and Marvel is a fucking comicbook company. Come on

Marvel employed some Z tier artist for MVC3 tho, but at least Capcom picked up the slack.

She was fun enough for me. I always enjoyed coming across people who didn't know how to block feral dashes, or those who liked endlessly dive kicking, Helmbreaking, or foot diving without knowing Somersault stuffed it completely.

I liked using her too. Hope she returns as a hybrid of her 2 and 3 self

like, you're not wrong, but at this point you are just repeating the same stuff we have said countless times over the last 6 months :p

I was actually salty that she couldn't summon Majinis to at least attack you in MVC3. Unlike MVC2, she actually had control of them in RE5.

I also hated how she couldn't use her weapons outside of her super. Every other RE character could use their weapons except her.

I wonder if Wesker put "don't use guns unless absolutely necessary" into her brainwashing/training exercises :p
