eBay is great, provided you find a solid seller. Always remember to ask for signature confirmation on the packages, and, if possible, try to get them to ship with someone other than USPS.

Little project I went and repaired my old nexus 4 (screen was broken as was the back glass)
Everything going so well until I put the back on and cracked the new battery door glass....least it's not as expensive but still little rage.

Sucks. Thankfully it's one of the easier phones to take apart. Did you change the battery too?
I wish those nice wooden backs were still available. No chance of cracking and it's actual wood versus those skins.

I'll try to take my own back off to get a better view. Never actually done it before.
I remember that being a problem when I bought a replacement white back. Got two and both didn't have a flush glass panel

That seems like a good price. I wouldn't get another battery yet, get the phone and see if you need one first.
More thoughts of xz premium.
Adb it at 4k makes it look much better but it hurts the snappyness.
Speakers aren't too bad but you kinda have to have it at max.
I don't mind how it looks. The deep dark blue is great.
Main problem I have is that it's the smallest screen phone I have atm yet the phone is bigger and heavier than anything I have.
It's like the old handbag portable phone compare to everything else I got.
OP5 with otterbox case is lighter lol.

You should check the bands, really. Ask your service provider, then go to GSM Arena and check the specs of both models. It's the only safe way of knowing.

Switching to 4k makes alot of games unplayable too, but is probably worth it if you don't play many graphic intensive games like asphalt. How is reception on T-Mobile? How is call quality?
It's fine.
Can't imagine the last phone I've used that screwed the phone part up since I used my friends mi mix lol.

How does this work on Project Fi? I've read that you can only use data. Are you able to make calls or receive texts?
I will need to get a new phone sometime this year and would like to stick w/ Motorola. If the First offering comes too late or is not up to my liking, I may get a non-approved phone.

I get the G5+ tomorrow. I know that it will only be using T-Mobile, and it will take some playing around to make calls and texts work.

Dangit, after a recent tumble my Xperia Z Ultra has constant signal drop out issues. I was hoping to make it to IFA to see what was announced but I think I'll have to go with the XZ Premium. Sucks that Canada is still waiting for any news on when it's coming.
After looking around I'm thinking of ordering it from Clove UK:

With FedEx shipping it'll work out to about $932 CDN, and I'm expecting I'll have to pay taxes once it arrives. Does anyone have any tips or advice before I place the order? The obvious one is that the UK power plug won't work here but that's ok. I also double checked and the phone supports all the bands my carrier uses. Anything else I should be aware of?

I knew you weren't going to like it lol insane amount of money they are asking for a phone with a 2012 design and alot of compromises. You should have gotten the u11 instead to try.

I'm more than familiar with the XZ Premium with all its pros and cons. It's exactly what I'm looking for.
Man I'm spoiled. Having apps reload on this Sony. Don't think I can go back to peasant 4gb ram phones anymore.

I bet you would like the U11 better than the Xperia. The build quality, screen, and sound from the speakers are pretty nice! It's also rootable. Both are gonna be downgrades performance wise from the OnePlus 5. I'm amazing that jello effect doesn't bother you. I couldn't stand it. I'm still waffling between keeping the U11 and returning it. I know I'll want that Pixel XL 2 for sure as long as it has notification led.
Have the Sony next to my Samsung and nexus 6 and op5. Just don't notice the jello unless I scroll something up and down slowly which I don't really do much. Don't really hate the effect either. And I'm pretty sensitive to inconsistent framerate and what not. Maybe you just got a particularly bad one?

I bought 2 and had it on both. It was too annoying when reading forums like NeoGAF in Chrome where you scroll down to read posts. I have seen some videos where the effect isn't as bad on some phones, so maybe you got one of the better ones. I'm waiting a month or so and see if they secretly replace the panels like when they secretly fixed the yellow band issue on the oneplus one without telling anyone.

Yep snapdragon version in US. You can download package disabler pro and disable stock samsung apps. That's about it since there isn't root for it.
Try turning off smart cleaner.
