Did all the good cinematographers die?

I think they probably did.

Also I didn't know Jared Leto was in this.

I can't wait to see him trying hard to do acting.
Roger Deakins is one of the most celebrated, studied and recognized photographers currently living.

I am one of this weirdos that didn't like Blade Runner so it's not like i have some warped nostalgia for it but this movie doesn't seem to have nearly the same heavy mood of the original, the trailers really tell me nothing that could interest me.

God damn this movie looks like it is going to kill it.

Great Director, Nailed the Music/feel of the original and the cast is amazing.

I cannot wait.

Finally getting an idea of what the plot is about. Although I'm not sure how Deckard or Rachel hold the key to mass producing Replicants...that seems to be Jared Leto's whole motivation in the movie.

It's looking fantastic. Can't wait to see it.

And I can't stand Ryan Gosling.

My only pet peeve was no Vangelis(I don't think he's done a soundtrack in forever anyway) but the film is looking and sounding fantastic.

Good trailer, though the typical rapid cutting isn't my thing, and too much Leto at this point kinda annoys me, but the trailer clearly shows us what what the film is about. I see Decker's role in the film may have to do with a shocking secret from the looks of it, since characters both good and bad are after him. Plus those visuals.

"We were being hunted"

nice remix of that vangelis track. its really not blade runner without some of those compositions returning, I hope Johannson does it.

this movie looks fucking flames

Johannson will probably largely do his own thing, I'd imagine. Maybe he'll use Blade Runner Blues or something.

This looks so good.

It stands to reason that Deckard is a fairly unique replicant, one that can grow old. His genetic code itself may be the key. Then again, Denis did say the film would not go into whether or not he was a replicant...

I recently watched the original, it started out good and moody and then took a dive in a lame fight scene at the end.

Most trailers nowadays spoil the whole damn movie.
No they don't. You honestly believe that? A 2 min compilation of jumbled scenes and voice overs gives you every character moment, plot beat, and thematic content of the film?

That's crap. And that's considering that we live in an era where trailers are short compared to anything pre 60s/70s where trailers would just go on and on.

That's silly, man. Just watch the trailer, it's not like you'll be thinking about it when you finally see the movie.

Edit: There we go

Jesus christ what world are you living in?
Deakins work is always a masterclass in filmmaking.

So... the big twist is going to be that Replicants are not artificial androids but genetic evolution of humanity right? :p

They did after reading your post, sure.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that
Deckard and Rachael had a kid. Hopefully not from that one rapey scene.

It looks like a TV programme as most films tend to these days.

Still, I'm sure Harrison Ford will put as much effort into the film as he did his choice of t-shirt.

You could've saved yourself the trouble by just admitting you don't know who Roger Deakins is.

Looks lovely and the cast is solid but I'm still unsure from a thematic and narrative perspective. The scene that echoes the originally planned intro for BR looks cool and some elements hint are more riffs from the novel but BR for me is pretty self contained piece.

Still, the creative team is good so I'm sure it'll be at worst a solid film even if it's a little redundant as a sequel.
