Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

- "The Pro implementation in Lost Legacy is identical to Uncharted 4"
- i-e native 1440p at 30 FPS.
- Core artwork, lighting, physics and texture qualities are the same level as Uncharted 4.
- The India open-area is the single largest area in an Uncharted game *
- DLC length is said to be the same as Uncharted 1.
- Game play mechanics are mostly the same with minor game play modifications (silenced pistols and lock picking minigames)

* this wasn't said outright but this is what I derived from John's comments.

There will be a full analysis after the game's released.

Probably not even fair to call it DLC at this point. I mean, sure, it's a game that you can download, just like any other full game release.

Was hoping that ND would have implemented checkerboard or some temporal reconstruction for LL. I could have sworn I saw checkerboard artifacts in the PSX footage. Oh well. They probably had a limited number of tech staff since this is building on the Uncharted 4 framework and TLoU Pt 2 will be getting a bigger overhaul.

The first Uncharted game on normal difficulty took me just over 5 hours to complete. I wasn't even rushing it.

Saying that for £23 that's alright with me anyway.

Cool. I didn't expect Uncharted 1 length, so that's great...

Even if I begrudge a large ND workforce for prioritizing this over Last of Us II.

Reading it was the same length as Uncharted 1, I agree.

Wow, Uncharted 1 length? Now you've really got my attention with this ND. Didn't know we were talking that long.

Awesome, looking forward to this. Real happy that I got the pass pretty cheap.

Same, was pretty lucky there, normally never bother with season passes.

I think i remember reading that cb doesn't really work with ND's rendering techniques or something. It was mentioned in the lead up to the Pro in regards to UC4 Pro support.

The season pass owners really got a sweet deal with this.

Yeah, I'm chuffed I managed to pick up the season pass before they pulled it, because I stacked some codes and essentially managed to get it for about £16 instead of the usual £20. Don't give a crap about the other multiplayer stuff in the Expansion Pass, but The Lost Legacy for that price is looking like a bargain!

I remember they showed off Uncharted 4 with it at the Pro reveal event but the framerate was bad. I'd love to see ND do something like Insomniac's temporal injection in the future.

TLL doesn't look quite as interesting as Left Behind, it just looks like more Uncharted 4, which is fine I guess. It's impressive that they managed to make it in such a short amount of time.

This. Uncharted 1 is much longer than people remember.

For me it was 8 hours long, nearly on the dot. How short did people think it was? :p

Considering the size of the playspace here, the foliage looks much more dense than anything I saw in Uncharted 4. The water as well as seen some improvements.

Betting some of these engine updates / optimizations come from working on TLOU2. Also curious about the night-time stuff we first saw in the war-torn city.

Cannot.

Fucking.

Wait.

I have searched high and low for all things HDR since buying my C7 first week of June, and UC4 in HDR is the single most impressive thing I've seen yet, TV/games/movies/anything.

It really looks that good. And for native 1440p, it's hard to find a whiff of aliasing on Pro.

8-10 hrs is perfect so I can roll onto Xcom 2 DLC on the 29th. August is shaping up nicely indeed.

I'm torn. I loved Uncharted 1 and 2. Somehow though in Uncharted 3 and then 4 I fell off a few chapters in. I guess I should play them on Easy as I really want to play a female lead game from Naughty Dog and if they are all continuous narratively I'll feel lost if I don't (I am one of those cursed who feels they can't jump into movies, books, games etc in the middle of a story and have to watch, read, play them all in order from the start lol)

Wait.. this is included in the season pass? Really?
Yes. They raised the price for the standalone release, but you get it included in the season pass if you bought it on time (I believe they've taken the pass down a couple of months ago).

Yeah, it started out as shorter DLC but they expanded it into this. Even though they made it bigger, they still have to honor what they originally promised.

Awesome news. Thanks. I had the season pass Day 1, so I should be good.

They did.

It was $25. I think it was called the "triple pack" or something like that...

They could have honored it by simply making season pass owners entitled to a similarly valued discount on TLL.

I'm not complaining that I get it for cheap :D

They absolutely could have, but also said that those who got digital deluxe and explorer's version are getting it without needing to pay more as a thank you for supporting the game.

Yeah, I remember now. I bought it the moment they announced the price increase.

=)

Me too. It popped up on Slickdeals that BBY still had it priced for $25. Was taken down a day or two later.

Would've paid $40 either way, based on my above comments.

Really, really, really (really) excited.

What's the downsampling situation this time?
I remember a kerfuffle about it with UC4 on Gaf but didn't pay attention.

Can't believe I'm getting this for free just because I got Uncharted 4 at launch. Looking forward to it.

Same here. So glad I went digital deluxe and I'm going in totally blind.

Very excited!
Not a DLC though and I wish people stopped referring to is as such. I'm not surprised the core engine is about the same, and they've been focused on optimizing it seems.
Pre-ordered at Gamestop because they're offering free digital copies of Jak & Daxter as a bonus.
Glad I'm getting it physical!

Uncharted 4 left a really bad taste in my mouth with it's garbage story so this is the first Naughty Dog game in years that I'm having doubts over picking up. It's cheaper than a full release but it sounds like it'll be the length of a full release, so that's good, but they've already dropped the ball with the franchise, imho.
