He's talking about taking away the employer contribution for congress and their staff members (1000s of staff).
Most people who get health insurance through their employer don't pay the full premiums, why should congress or their staff? This is just demagoguery and apparently it's working.

Their staff should totally keep what healthcare they have, but Congress votes for themselves to have the best healthcare forever, even past their terms. As representatives of their districts, they should take on the same healthcare that they're voting for for their constituents.

But in any case, they can't pass it without McCain anyway, so no. They're not going to do that and he won't be back till mid September (and that's if he comes back and doesn't call it a day).

This is the most frustrating thing. That somehow people believe the government is exempt from this and its not. No one is. if you get healthcare in the US, you are in the ACA. its not complicated.

We are still riding on Obama's glory. He really can't take credit until well into next year.
He's just in full "fuck my shit up" mode when it comes to the presidency.
Can't get anything he wants, so now he just wants to fling shit in every direction.
What a miserable man. I take joy in knowing that he is unhappy every day. Whenever I'm stressed, sleepless, or am just dying to get something over with, I calm myself by remembering that this is how Trump feels all the time.
Even then, at the rate he's passing things, there'd likely be little to nothing he could point to to say 'This is what I did better than Obama for the economy!'.
He voted yes so it could proceed to a vote, in which he could vote no and torpedo the entire thing for good...which I thought he did.
How can they go back for another round? I thought this fiscal year's opportunity was now gone, done, kaput.

thats never mattered though, GOP has been using the fact that economic problems arent immediate for years now.
They voted on multiple potential bills, the final of which was the skinny repeal. He voted yes to open debate and also yes on the more comprehensive repeal and replace bill:
