So now that I have primed heavy impact, I'm thinking about going back and buying a copy of Collision Force (the melee impact rare mod from Baro's last visit that I didn't buy at the time) to put them both on a War build. Anybody know if this is going to be worthwhile compared to just using heavy impact + an element? Don't want to spend the 50p if stacking that much impact dmg isn't as efficient

I would say that just having Primed Heavy Impact is enough. If you already had Collision Force, I'd say go for it and try it out. But I feel like I can guarantee you're not going to get your plat's worth out of that. Just stick a dual stat elemental on instead.

An elemental combo will go miles farther than an impact mod. Here's a no forma build. If you don't have Blood Rush, True Steel is functional enough.

Seeing heavy impact posted on here was throwing me for a loop a bit lol.

hmmm might get another copy of primed heavy trauma and primed pressure point plus his colors (if i haven't already).

Reading youtube comments is never a good idea but lol people are still salty about Saryn. I think she's fine and can do the job but hey i didn't use her much pre-rework (seemed like spam 4) so *shrug*

If Baro patterns hold true, next time he shows up he's going to have primed reach and lightning mods, which means I'm going to need to farm up something like 2k+ ducats between now and then.

Yikes.

I started playing Warframe this week thanks to the free Amazon/Twitch Prime loot. Made it through the tutorial missions and started doing other stuff with random players. Having a ton of fun so far.

Need to look up some Youtube beginner guides unless anyone has some to recommend?
Is there still room in the NeoGAF clan? Game ID = Savorius

Oberon is almost done! Is he a strong Warframe? Look at his abilities, he looks like a nice mix between offense and support. Also, I got all the drops without duplicates, so that felt pretty lucky :p

Literally everything you could need and there are some YouTube guides there.

He's a C+/B-. This first ability tends to just knock down an opponent and not much else. His second covers a nice area, procs radiation and damage on enemies, and protects allies from enemy status procs. His three is alright healing, and increases all armor additively if they stand on his second. His last is a nice dunk on everything in range.

His main problem is his energy pool is weak and if his healing ability gets turned off (and it will, it's an energy-greedy ability), he can be really squishy. For a casting frame, having a low energy pool sucks. Also getting the healing/armor buff on pub players sucks because there will always be one asshole who gets out of range.

Outside of selling your account to someone, not really. In any case, its absolutely haram breaking the TOS.

I'd suggest you subscribe to iFlynn on YT. He has a Warframe: The ULTIMATE Beginner's Guide series and he keeps adding episodes almost daily, making it one of the most detailed and in-depth beginner videos I have ever watched for any game. He is also partnered with Digital Extremes.

Is it just me or does the existence of vacuum as a sentinel mod make rolling with a kubrow or kavat a really unattractive proposition?

Vacuum was a carrier only mod until recently so there was a time any other sentinel was mostly worthless.

Smeeta Kavat has an ability that can give good stuff which made a case of sorts but it got a bit nerfed a while back (though still good if not for those other perks like guaranteed orange crits , etc).

I recently got Helios Prime, only to find out that it doesn't scan things like the normal helios does. What's the point? It has a strong melee attack, but otherwise seems to have no passive ability.

Used to be that only carrier had vacuum, so it was the only companion used at all.

Much hay has been made about the need for universal vacuum.

Ok so they acknowledged that vacuum was important enough to put it on every sentinel but neglected to add similar functionality to living pets, which represents the other half of the companion spectrum. I guess that was a step in the right direction, but they need to go all the way otherwise I have no reason to ever use a dog or cat except to level for master, which SUCKS because I love the idea of them. Would love to have some flexibility with my companion options on a per-frame basis but as of now it's just Helios if I want to scan and Carrier if I want it to be useful.

IMO vacuum is way too important a feature to even be tied to a mod and should just be basic game functionality. Sounds like the community agrees.

Community has agreed on this since Vacuum existed. It's some weird hard line that the devs have drawn about it. They don't want to talk about it or address it, and it took us YEARS to get them to put Vacuum onto other sentinels.

The Octavia neuro grind reminded me of how awful the old Prime farm was.

Anything stuck in Rotation C is just an exercise in frustration.

And its apparently after they had data showing how Carrier fucking crushed the other companions in usage among the player base (it was like over 80% iirc).

Data that should have told them that years ago.

Stupid question: Does the euphona have only a Prime version or is there a non-prime one?

I couldn't find anything on Google.

Not a stupid question. There's only a prime version. Maybe the only weapon to have a variant without a normal.

Thanks! I guess that's kinda strange since DE makes a point of releasing frames and weapons in the order the non-prime was released.

how's the gaf pc clan these days? I'm with GiantBomb clan but it seems pretty dead, would like an invite to the gaf clan.

Wait, what are you talking about? Which one of the clans are you in? GBHI just upgraded to Mountain to meet the interest in the game. Also Gaf/GB are in alliance with each other so you should have access to the same player list.

I don't think i'm understanding the leveling in this game. So, I'm working on a story mission and enemies are level 20-21. Currently using a rhino frame lvl 27 but still getting downed fairly easily. Also, seems kinda weird thatI it takes a bit to actually down the enemies. I've applied a lot of the card things to everything to increase damage but still doesn't seem like i'm doing a lot of damage. I feel like I'm missing something. Help?

Enemy level and Warframe level are not the same scale. You should consider Warframe level to basically just be the distance to your maximum possible base stats. Also the cards might be low rank right now or you might just not have enough to really make a huge difference in your weapons. If you're still using anything with the MK1 prefix, you should switch to basically anything else.

Every weapon type has 1 easy to obtain mod that increases its base damage, and these are CORE mods every weapon needs. These are:

Serration for rifles
Point Blank for shotguns
Hornet Strike for pistols
Pressure Point for melee

Just adding these won't be much of a difference as they only increase your damage by 15% by default. You actually need to rank these up in the "mods" menu by spending credits and ENDO (which is a resource you find in missions and get by cashing in dupes of other mods) and THEN they start adding much more damage to your weapons.

In addition to base damage mods, other core damage mods are all 4 elements (heat, cold, toxin, electricity) which straight up just add extra damage to weapons, and "multishot" mods which gives you a chance to fire 2 shots every time you pull the trigger, effectively doubling damage.

For more info on how to pull all these mods together to increase weapon damage check this video out. Invaluable stuff for a newbie that helped me greatly:

Any chance to get added to the GAF clan? Name is affeinvasion.
Invite should be waiting for you.

Down to 5 spots left in the clan now. I thought we'd have plenty of room for a long time, going up to Storm. Interest in Warframe has really shot up in general. I wonder what kind of numbers DE has been seeing.

I mean you can buffer them over to the GB clan if you don't want to invest into Storm just yet.
