Kinda tempted by Odin Sphere. I know the game is great but my backlog is big and by the time I can get to it, it will probably be cheaper.
For 20$ it would be an instant buy. 30$ not so much.
I could get it for Vita at that price, though.

Is isolation as good as people have said?
Not in my opinion unfortunately. The art, graphics, sound design, music and overall atmosphere are fucking amazing especially if you love Alien. The writing didn't seem that bad either surprisingly.

The actual game play portion isn't very good at all I thought, I envy those who enjoyed the encounter design because I really did want to finish it.

Gonna double dip on DanganRonpa to show my love for the franchise and prep for a second play through.

Anyone wanna tell me if I should/shouldn't on Homefront? Noah Gervais kinda tempted me with his review.

How are the bioshock remasters and Dragon age?

Dragon age is simply fantastic if you are a fan of rpgs. The companions are easily the best out of any recent bioware game, and you really get to shape them with your choices throughout the game which I loved. The combat is as strategic or action packed as you make it, depending on the difficulty. And although the main plot isn't too great, the world and lore is all really fascimaging and I find myself reading up on it all the time.

And if you can't stand mmo sidequests like me then don't worry, there is just soo much content in the game that you do not need to do them, although they are there. Sticking with the companion quests, main location questlines, dungeons, and dragon hunting is still like 80+ hours of content and I didn't even go to every area in the game. The mmo quests complaint is really a non issue because they are optional, so just don't seek out and complete quests that seem boring to you and instead stick to what seems interesting and you should be fine.

People really love to hate this game to the point where it is really sad to think about the people who dedicate so much time to hating a video game. But as long as you aren't an incredibly negative person who actively seeks out reasons to be upset about a game, you should be fine.

Bought the $15 Homefront bundle. I think it was patched recently and a lot of issues have been fixed. It could be my end of summer game just to screw around with so for $15 I will get my money out of it plus all the DLC.

I dove in, also. I had downloaded the trial which apparently was the full game so no extra download. I think I have already gotten $11.99 worth so far and I just liberated one section.

Its a complete remake and a much better game.

Small pet peeve, I know this probably isn't that important but..

It always kinda annoys me when people don't know the difference between a remaster and a remake..

A remaster cleans up an OG so that runs and looks better (FFX HD, Shadow of Colossus HD remaster, MGS HD collection), but it's not a complete remake from the ground up (RE REmake, Rachet n Clank, Uncoming FF7 remake)

This is a remaster.

as much as I loved my time with the game, it really depends on what you want.

You have no real offensive tools except for the flamethrower, which only deters the alien for a short while and burns through fuel fast so you cant abuse it. Its basically hide and go seek with the Alien for about 20 hours or so. There are a few moments where you can use guns and theres also the andriods to deal with that mix it up a bit but its still mostly walking around and hiding.

Another thing is that when you die, you resort to your last save point, there is no quick save. Also saving takes a few seconds....seconds in which the Alien can still kill you.

You have to be patient but also seize opportunity when it comes along, which Ive noticed a lot of people just never picked up the flow of the game making it frustrating.

Odin Sphere L rehauls the gameplay mechanics, which makes it more of a remake than a remaster.

I just finished Odin Sphere this week. If you like Vanillaware and are on the fence, I'd say grab it. It's my fav Vanillaware game (played muramasa and dragons crown), looks great in proper HD.

It took me about 36 hours to finish and believe it goes on sale all that frequently either - good bang for your buck at this price.

That's where i am with a lot of games, especially with odin sphere since i did own the original. My backlog is so big i cant justify a lot of stuff until it hits under 20. I also have so many that i still need to even download but my data cap prevents, as i blow through 100+ gigs the day it resets each time downloading games from sales and ps+. I did grab grand kingdom and divinity though.

Oh cool! Didn't know that! Thanks for clarifying; looking forward to it!

It's also worth noting they've been very good at doing one every month for a long while now, so something to keep in mind and looking for. It does tend to be the 3rd weekend, though.

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.

A lot of things I really wanna buy here.

DMC4, Ultra Despair Girls so I have all of Danganronpa, Divinity, Metro, FIFA, a double dip on Titanfall... *sigh*

It's too long and it's certainly an acquired taste, but it's excellent. Pro-tip: Play on easy and make sure to use ear-buds/ear phones. Hearing where things are is almost more important than seeing where they are.

Should be according to the official website: http://teamninja-studio.com/doa5/lastround/us/top.html
Also holy shit at the fluidity of that game, I got it on PS3 but I'll buy it for PS4 as well.

Anyone know if this version of DoA5 has all the released characters? Im curious is Mai is included.

I bought it and downloaded the game. No Mai or Naotora. Gotta buy them separate.

I'll probably buy them later.

This pretty much sum up my biggest gaming problem haha.

Just finished the game two days ago. Played it in small dose, I did not feel it was too long.

As a fan, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the design. Just when you think you got it, they change up the formulae to keep it interesting. If you think it's too hard, remember to use your items. I almost called it quit because I like hoarding items in video games. I listened to the advice and parted with them, and had a much better time.

tempted to pick up FF VII seeing as I've never played it ^^'

As long as you go into it knowing its a 20 year old game from when 3D was only just starting to become established, you'll find one of the best game of all time.
