Today, August 26, 2017, the website for E3 2018 was published with some basic information about the event next year. There's only the usual newsletter signup and a form for exhibitors at the moment.

The sales portal is currently not updated, nor is the marketing portal. But additional resources should become available shortly.

E3 2017 takes place in Los Angeles June 12-14 next year. Registration usually begins in December.

A plead to ESA: For E3 2018, please consider a press/business only day

Yeah there probably needs to be a press/industry only day, heard from friends that this year was all over the place

After seeing footage at home of what E3 was like, I honestly wouldn't go even I could for free and it was a 5 minute drive away.

Wait in line for 6 hours to play 20 minutes of a game out in 3 months? Fuck me, I wouldn't do that for 100$ in my pocket.

I would only ever go for the press conferences.

Playstation 5 time.
PlayStation 4 launched November 15, 2013. Should Sony unveil PlayStation 5 next year and launch it by the end of 2018 that would give PlayStation 4 effectively five years on the market. A reasonable time, but I wouldn't mind if they waited a bit.

Don't forget Pro and XB1X. I feel like another 7 year generation is a lot easier to swallow when we have that mid-gen bump.

Not a chance.

Earliest possibility: PS5 announcement / reveal in early 2019 at a PlayStation Meeting (a la PS4 in February 2013), full details including price at E3 2019, release before Christmas, for PlayStation's 25th anniversary. That would mean PS4 gets a 6 year life, and PS4 Pro's 2016 release being exactly the halfway point of the generation.

Personally though, I'm not expecting PS5 to be announced, revealed, shown off and released until 2020.

GOD. YES. THIS.

I'm still stitching together my YT Documentary from my trip this year and it was my main criticism. I also listed that as my feedback in my survey.

I was a Business pass holder, and all we really had additionally on top of the basic pass was a separate room, catering with some decent food (Didn't hold up to the foodtrucks though), a business line (which was the best perk honestly, because we got let in like 10 minutes early on day one and two, which at least let us have a first stab at whatever booth we wanted before the place flooded like the Titanic.). And a VIP meetup lounge which felt pretty useless IMO.

Business pass holders should have line priority (like a Disney fast-pass) at least. The let like 25,000 people into this place with no way to manage it properly. Was a cluster fuck for sure. But goddamn, I still had a great time though :D

Did you see the Dan Rykert Giantbomb video? The followed the line from the entrance all the way out, there was well over a 1000 people standing in like even though it was already the afternoon.

The press have a lot of hell getting coverage and moving equipment around this time too.

My Uber dropped me off around the corner of the center. The line wrapped around that entire side of the building and into the street. Safety hazards galore.

It was. It sucked. I waited 6 hours in life for the final day for a South Park shirt just because I was over everything else. Even then, some people who paid for E3 bitched and complained to get in the back of the line for the last hour.

First day was mostly people waiting for the event Geoff was doing. Didn't have a problem getting in. Don't remember the 2nd day being bad but I know on the 3rd, The group I was with waited on the side of the lines. They made about 6 different lines or so and nobody filed in to the line closest to us when it started depleting, so we just walked in to the end despite the others trailing out the doors.
