Finished this last night. Great game. Much better than I even expected. Some amazing set pieces and did not outstay it's welcome length wise (which I felt UC4 did at times). Took me about 6 1/2 hours or so.

Jesus just done chapter 5, and I thought chapter 4 was good. This is the greatest adventure game I've ever played. I love it. I thought I'd miss Nate and Sully but Chloe and Nadine are just as fun and loveable. Naughty Dog can do no wrong.

This is definitely one of the best Uncharted games. Loved the setting, the story, the setpieces, the acting, etc. It was just so good. It was also very, very well paced. I played through Crushing on my first go. Took about 11 hours to beat it, with plenty of restarts during some of the combat encounters.

I need more Chloe. Such an amazing character.

Just beat it today in about 8h. Great game, though for me 4 is still superior.

I liked :
- The dynamic between the two characters.
- Having two female leads instead of two male, and it being not
- The setting
- The production values.

I did not like :
- The open world section, I'd have liked at least a compass onscreen instead of having to open up the map every 10 seconds.
- Controls are still wobbly at times. I lost count of how many times I rebooted an encounter because I wanted to do it stealthily and instead Chloé did something I did not want to.

I'm up for anything Naughty Dog has in store for the future of the series.

For me :
UC4 > LL >>> UC3=UC2 >>>>>UC1

I'm an oddball because I did not like UC1 to 3, and I think the game was a serviceable TPS at best and a far better exploration game. I think the series got a lot better with UC4

Just completed it. It was enjoyable for sure, and ends on a heck of a set-piece, even if that set-piece borrows heavily from what was already done in 2 and 4. However, anyone who says The Lost Legacy is better than 4 is downright bonkers.

4 > 3 > 2 > TLL > Golden Abyss > 1

I definitely like 4 more than TLL, but I can also understand how someone would prefer a smaller and more focused game.

3 being so high is what's truly bonkers here

TLL > 2 > 4 > 1 > 3

3 over 2? Heathen.

3 over 2? Heathen.

Funniest game in the franchise yo. Best set-pieces, loads of Sully-Nate banter, wonderfully subverts the whole supernatural trope in the last act, and best of all...
it's the only Uncharted that lets you throw enemy grenades back. GAME CHANGER!

I won't argue you regarding the set-pieces and Sully's bigger role in that game, UC3 definitely have some highlights.

Finished last night. Really fun game, and I really hope Chloe gets another solo Uncharted game. As much as I loved UC4, I felt it was a bit 'heavy' story wise for an Uncharted game, and TLL has gone back and recaptured the pulp fun the series is known for.

Also
Elephants > Giraffes

Being able to throw back grenades in UC3 is one of my least favorite things about it. It encourages you to sit in cover the whole time since grenades are no longer a threat instead of forcing you to move. UC combat is at it's worst when it's a straight up cover shooter. It's biggest strength is its mobility.

Loved the game. I played UC4 and was kinda missing all the hype but after playing this, I totally get it. Easily a top 10 game of all time for me (though its not my GOTY after Horizon Zero Dawn).

Loved the humour, the puzzles, the story. All fantastic.

Damn Naughty Dog. Two insanely fantastic games back to back. I thought Uncharted 4 looked beautiful but this was on another level. It was just a joy to explore every place I could and marvel at what was on the screen. Amazing. Just amazing. According to the stats it took me just under 16 hours to finish and I suspect a huge chunk of that was spent in photo mode trying to capture it all. Bravo!

I'm shocked by how many of the photo opportunities I missed. I only got 19 of the 28. I also missed a bunch of optional conversations with 13 out of 17 possible. And here I thought I literally left no stone unturned.

Finally got around to finishing it, don't think I liked it anywhere near as much as most people here to be honest. For all the hype for the set pieces, they weren't all that great. I wouldn't even class Lost Legacy in the same stratosphere as UC2.

The last set-piece is a helluva lot more complex and spectacular than anything in UC2 and the combat is far superior as well.

I got to chapter 7.
Elephant ride after a blood-boiling APC encounter on crushing
is why I play Naughty Dog games. Perfect moment-to-moment pacing.

I mean, this game is basically riffing off of UC2 + UC4 on a smaller scale, so the opportunity for blowing you away presents itself less. It's not as packed or as epic as UC2 overall, but I still think the final chapter is arguably the best set piece in the series.

And after completing the campaign again, it cemented itself as the 2nd best Uncharted game in my eyes, if only for the fact that I never really went back to any of the other campaigns in full aside from UC2 (which I played a lot), and don't see myself ever doing so. I really like the tone and protagonists, I LOVE the environments, the puzzles are solid, and there's very little wasted space. And while I'd still like to see more combat because I love how UC4's combat system looks, sounds, and feels, the pacing in TLL does a much better job of escalation in the back half than UC4 did.

I'm only on chapter 6 so far but man I think this game might be the second best of the series if it keeps this up.

don't get me wrong I loved how they closed out Nate's story with that ending of 4, and I liked how sentimental it got with the kid at the end. but this is the best of Uncharted with a lot of the fat trimmed out (and there has been a lot of it, especially in the last game)

Chloe is a great lead and her chemistry with Nadine is awesome too, and the approach to the 4th chapter's level with the open map and seeking out encounters and puzzles was fantastic.

After 4 I felt like I was done with the franchise for good (although still satisfied), but this got me feeling like I'd be cool with some more entries like this. the setting, puzzles and combat rocks.

Yea, I have to agree with Magic that UC2's
train
setpiece is no where as dynamic and fun as LL's.

I'd say it was more dynamic, but from a story perspective 2's was still so awesome
just for the entire buildup to it from the start of the game, and then nate basically willing to suicide just to stop them.

Beat it last night. This game captures the beauty and charm of all previous games. However, I have had enough of this series. I never felt that any of the previous games were a chore to beat and this was the first time that I kept wanting the game to end because I was bored. The fault falls on me not Naughty Dog.

Just started the game

I wanna use my platinum headset. Should I go for normal or uncharted 4 custom audio mode is good for this ?

I'm not sure that's the reason of that feeling, I felt somehow the same. It was the first Uncharted game which I've no replayed right away after finish it, still didn't.

Ok. Got my answer. Took uc4 setup and enabled vss it makes the audio in the game 7.1 headphone (with tout its stereo on auto detect )

My god il Lttp but what are these graphics. I played uc4 on normal ps4 so ... pfiou.

It's so crisp it feels like 4k I don't know I'm playing 2" away from a oled and it's crazy. Dayum

The amount of shade thrown at Uncharted 4 in this - it's a game after my own heart.

It's done jovially but I can't think of many games that reference the flaws of their predecessors so clearly.

And overall this is much more of the spectacle and adventure I wanted from an current-gen Uncharted game.

So good.

I got around that number of photo opportunities and 16/17 conversations. It was probably Ch. 4 that was the culprit. I don't know how these Youtube guide people get these so quickly.

chloe's hair annoys me in this. that's one area lara has her beat. those stray strands in her face never seem to move haha

Completely disagree. While Lara's hair is more advanced and demanding tech-wise, it also looks and moves very unrealistically. It is constantly moving and weirdly floaty as if Lara was under water.
Real hair is heavier, more rigid and it sticks together or to skin, especially if it is wet or sweaty. They did a great job with Chloe's hair in that regard.

She should run her hand through it occasionally. unrealistic! ;)

She actually does exactly this from time to time.
