Can't speak for others, but it's mostly a reactionary thing. I wouldn't give a second thought if she had just been a new character.
Why'd this girl who by the end of her debut game had doubled down on her pointless revenge motivation and whose character development is a farce of literally "put on a fake-ass pandering show" end up usurping the franchises original main character(s) the fans got to know and love.
It's like if sega postured Shadow as the face of the Sonic franchise.

Heads up, Amazon now has applied the 20% prime discount to PBS. Meaning you can get it for $56 at launch.
Personally, considering how many damn games I'm getting in Sept, I might just wait to see if it drops to under $50. I don't think I can afford it, let alone find time to play it.

Does anyone remember how long the LEs for SV & EV were up for purchase on sites like Best Buy & how low the prices got? I'm trying to work my gaming budget out & can't decide if I should get PBS for about $56 or wait for it to get cheaper considering I've got 4 games + the SNES Mini I want to get in Sept., & pretty much all of them are LEs.
BB doesn't even have SV or EV listed on their site. Though hearing that EV is still available for $20 less gives me hope I can pick up PBS later.
...though damn, they're selling it for $10 more than EV at launch. Oh well, I'll get it eventually....of course, when the online is dead....

If it's coming to steam, it will be at least 3 months later than the ps4 version, so not before this fall at best.
Xseed announced pre-order bounses & a LE version for the digital copy of the game.
"- DLC pack containing the Soaking Wet High School Uniform costume, a set of colorful bikini costumes, the Futomaki Roll Bazooka special weapon, a Bebeby pet card, and a special set of skill cards.
- A downloadable soundtrack containing 47 music tracks."
So the same DLC as the physical LE & a digital copy of the OST.
If you pre-order the digital version, you get 2 exclusive themes & the "Eternal Summer Camisole Outfit" which will be exclusive for 4 weeks then made available for purchase for $3.99

New Wave finally had its first collaboration with Valkyrie Drive by having the Paradise swimsuits included on its new set of cards. The swimsuits used are Siren, Lorelei and Otohime. Pretty random if you ask me but I won't complain.
I'd expect for the Mermaid and Bhikhkuni swimsuits to show up down the line as well.
And by the same token, I hope this won't be the last collaboration between the two series.

Likely a placeholder date. I know of a few shops that first listed it as August 29 then changed it to September 12. As far as I know, Xseed hasn't actually announced an official release date yet, although they will do so this week from what I've read.
I'm pretty adamant on keeping my Pre-order of the No Shirt, No Shoes, All Service Edition but I really love PS4 themes and the digital exclusive themes will probably be great. Will I ever be able to buy them separately in the future? Wish it would've been included but I understand why it isn't.

Since I already have the stuff that's in the US LE from the Japanese import I got, I think I'm gonna just go digital on the game, but there's nowhere that's selling the digital code at a discount, is there? I mean like Best Buy has GCU and Amazon Prime has 20% off preorders but they wouldn't have digital codes for this, would they?
I suppose I can google it myself, I AM at my computer

I got the little pervy Ryona 1/10 scale figure that came out recently, but yeah...slim pickings. I really wish they would release Nendoroids of these characters, but my wallet also thanks them for not doing it.

Looking at these it reminds me why I liked the series so much in the first place. There was a lot of neat little details added that enriched the experience: From Hikage actually carrying spare knifes on her forearms, to the way weapons were included on the transformation sequences, it showed the series had a lot of heart that is simply lacking now.
Pity the remake dropped the beat em' up aspect and instead uses EV's system because I would've played the hell out of a properly optimized Burst.
