Man this month's PS+ day came and went with very little fanfare. I completely spaced yesterday, and saw no thread discussing their release. Odd.

It was free on the web store for me when I added it on Tuesday too, I'm in the UK. Are you logged in with your PS+ account?

Yes and yes. Just added all the other games fine.

EDIT: This is what it looks like right now

Played an hour or two of Child Of Light and I'm really digging it. Normally I don't like turn based games but this one is accessible enough and the art is gorgeous as is usually the deal with UbiArt games.

Is Child of Light EU only or something? I don't see it in the NA store. Don't care about anything this month but I'd check that out if we had it.

When will a service I pay actual money for (PSN) be at least half as fast as another free one I use (Steam)?

over 19 hours to download Destiny 2?
fuck me...

Bizarre question I'm sure. Have you guys had any fraud issues with cdkeys? I noticed they are recommended on the front page as being the cheapest source for ps plus but the web just seems super sketch. I can't go for it unless random people on the internet tell me it's safe from experience....As weird as that may sound lol

I've used it without any issues in the past.

Bought a bunch of codes from them and never had any issues on Steam or PSN.

I think they have been victims of some shitty reports. My bank won't clear charges from them anymore if I try and pay with my debit card. Oddly enough my credit card through the same bank works fine.

Thanks for the replies everyone seems like it's overall a well enough site. G2A really gives sites like this a bad name so I try to be cautious of them when I can be.

@neuro without a doubt your bank disallows payment because the service is a little sketch. I mean on google you type cdkeys and the first suggestion is cdkeys legit Lol

So, with the October update being announced some point in the coming week, any guesses as to what we might get?

I think, sooner than later, we'll get The Order 1886. It was heavily discounted multiple times on US PSN, so probably it's a good candidate for Plus line-up.

I actually think the opposite. Because Plus is now required for online play, offering a game as bad as The Order won't move the needle on people liking the service or anything (hell, it would make me think less of it than a newish indie to be honest) so they may as well make £/$5 on their digital sales than just give it away.

Well, starting with February, every month since then (except for April) has had at least one game that has a Blu-Ray release version.

February: LBP3
March: Tearaway: Unfolded
April: ....
May: Tales From the Borderlands
June: Life is Strange
July: Until Dawn and Game of Thrones
August: Just Cause 3
September: inFAMOUS: Second Son and RIGS: Mechanized Combat League

So, I could see The Order: 1886 being given away soon.

Do we expect an announcement today? It's usually last wednesday of the month right?

Hoping for Evil Within (1), as it's been on sale plenty of times and it is October after all.

bish gets all the credit :)
It's October, so expect a horror game. I'd guess RE0, TEW, or AI. They've all been dirt cheap for awhile.

MGS was fun until the base stuff became very difficult to maintain. Did they ever patch that to be more reasonable?

Having to play 24 hours for something to develop was stupid as hell

There's nothing requiring you to play 24 hours, there's a 24 hours real time timer which means you can start developing an item today on 7 am, quit the game and when you'll login again tomorrow on 7 am the item will be ready to use.

The base stuff is not really obnoxius, you can just use the automated function to distribute soilders between platforms and develop available blueprints, or item you like/need.

But you can beat the game without difficulty just by using the Tranquillizer gun, tranquillizer sniper rifle and rocket launcher without anything else.

I've actually never seriously played an MGS before. It's just that stealth really isn't my thing. I downloaded Ground Zeros when that was on PS+ and never once fired it up.

Amnesia and Sky Force Anniversary are cool, so it's still a good month for me.

It's October, so expect a horror game.

Props, dude!

Recently finished MGSV and i think i remember that some timers for Base upgrades or (offline) combat deployments don't run on real time but on actuall game time. You can't quit the game and the timer just goes on.

Amazing month for PS4, weak as fuck for Vita.

I've been playing Sky Force and the progression system sucks. You can tell it was a F2P game converted to premium because it feels like a grind without the IAP.

Beautiful game, fun game, but awful progression. You collect stars in levels that you spend to upgrade your ship, but initial new tools cost an assload of stars and further upgrades barely make a difference.

What's worse is that you need to achieve a certain amount of Medals to unlock the next stage, beating it isn't enough. There's 4 requirements for the 4 Medals you can earn and they are always the same: destroy 70% of enemy forces (easy) rescue all survivors (fairly easy) destroy 100% of enemy forces (extremely obnoxious) stay untouched (hard).

What all this amounts to is replaying the same handful of stages over and over and over again and it is really boring. You'll need to grind for stars to power up and make achieving some of those Medals manageable and you'll need to replay levels whenever you fail because a fighter got away or you took a hit or missed a guy.

Thanks for the review, I can skip Sky Force then.

PS4 offerings have been getting "better" (if you define better as retail games) but Vita is getting worse. The last few months for Vita have been really shitty, hell the whole year. And despite what some may think it's not for lack of games left to offer. There's a whole lot of good stuff, indie and retail, that hasn't been offered yet. I wouldn't even mind more PSP games or PS One Classics.

Shout out to Hue, a real pleasant surprise and one of those rare ‘modern retro’ platform games where every fuckup is your own fault and not poor game design. I’d recommend giving the game a quick try, at least. Just ignore the pretentious voice over and it’s all good!
Agreed, I have been playing this on the Vita and a surprisingly well made puzzle platformer. The colourpuzzles aren't that difficult so far, but they have a nice progression. Recommended.

OK so I "bought" this month's games on the day they went up for free, but now they are not in my purchase history and if I try to get the games again I get a popup message that says "You are not eligible to purchase or download this content". I am 100% sure I got the games already and even have the email receipt. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this? I've been a PS Plus member for almost 6 years and have never had this happen.

Edit: Now the games are showing as purchased on my computer but not on the mobile app

Edit 2: OK they're showing up in my PS4 library as well. I guess there's something wrong with the mobile store or something.
