Neither is Celica. They did say they would MOSTLY be pulling from Shadow Dragon, Awakening, and Fates, but not exclusively, so I imagine Celica and Lyn were two crowd favorites (or in Celica's case, sort of new since she was in a recently released game) that they just included.

I kind of figured Roy, Ike, Alm, and Celica all had a shot since they have amiibos and thus could have connectivity (plus they're arguably some of the more visible FE characters by virtue of having amiibo). Still would have expected Ike since he seems the most popular of those four.

I actually kind of like this better than my expectation, which was Marth, Caeda, and 2-3 more SD characters, but yeah, this makes the whole "Awakening, Fates, and SD" focus less accurate. If you count Tiki as more of a general series character since she's in other games, the SD cast is...two.

With the announced history mode there is 0% chance we see anyone who's not from shadow dragon/awakening/fates since they'll be able to sell dlc packs for the various fe titles not included with 3-4 characters and the ability to do that game's history mode.

This would be strange for a final roster. Lyn's inclusion but Ike's exclusion would say to me that FE7 will not get a DLC pack but FE9/10 will.

EDIT: People were suspecting 25 characters based on the character cards, right? Would this add up to 25 if you included the gender swapped avatars? Without thinking too carefully, I'm thinking yes.
