For those in the 5.00 beta, for the time being you're forced to install this to play online, removing you from the beta.

No idea why they're releasing 4.74 when 5.00 is presumably around the corner.

They keep saying stability but the PS4 interface is still sluggish and laggy as hell, it got worse as well. The Switch might be bare bones but that things moves.

I really hope this is a D2 fix. I'm not going to be able to touch the Raid until it's fixed because there's no way I'm putting my group through my game crashing at least a few times every hour in something as intense as the Raid. I'm like the only one in my clan with this issue, even though I'm not the only one with a Pro, and it's incredibly frustrating!

I'd kinda like to know, as I was about to send my pro in for repair. Will have to try it this evening, I guess.

Was on Beta. Turn on PS4 to see I'm now on this update, my entire home screen has been rearranged, games taken out of folders and about 10 game updates happening all at once. For fuck's sake Sony.

Turning off automatic updates forever.

If i have the 5.0 beta installed,then installed this,then downloaded the beta again using my beta download code then install 4.74,will this considered "frameware downgrade" ?

Hackers will love this.

You can always roll back on the beta firmwares.

Hackers didn't get anywhere the last few times this happened iirc.

It wasn't flawless in the beta but the lag in menus when going back to this update is atrocious.

This is the firmware update equivalent of someone coming in to your house, taking a shit on the floor, throwing all your clothes on the ground and mixing them up and turning on all the water faucets.

According to the 5.00 beta forums, beta 6 should be coming fairly soon which presumably has whatever fix is in this update.

You can't, your code wont work again, and a second code will tell say you have already used the beta token on your account. I already tried to get back to the beta after this update.

Beta forums also say that if you're going to 4.74 from the 5.00 beta, once version 6 is available you should be able to go back to that.

According to the Beta forums It looks like the update is forced if you want to play Destiny 2, so I assume it a fix for the crashing.

Do we know if we are getting a Beta 6? I feel like we didn't have this many Betas previously or maybe I just don't remember. It's quite a few for not a lot of big features.

Does anyone still get the disconnect from the psn store/servers if you've been inactive for a while?

I always have to disconnect and reconnect via the options and it's annoying. Seems like it's gotten worse recently.

It's strange though as friend list and multiplayer never disconnect.

Aw man, and I thought it was my network that was messing up. Good to know it's "only" the console.

The Beta didn't cause things to 'break', the rollback to non-Beta software did. I've been in the beta before and didn't get rolled back to non-beta software before the final version came out.
