might have to skip myplayer this year--the vc stuff is just out of control

its getting to the point where myplayer really should become a free to play title seperate from the main game, but of course that will never happen

Ugh, yup, have to go hunt down a microSD card today to get the game up and running on Switch. Glad to hear the port is fantastic though.

load times in MyCareer are atrocious (PS4 version). also hate how everything is paywalled. that being said, gameplay is so much better this year, a lot closer to Live '18 whose demo i really enjoyed. shot timings for each individual player is rough to get down however.

Has anyone gone from pc version last year to switch this year? If so how is the transition? Is it super jarring going from 60 to 30? I really like the idea of taking a dynasty on the go but if the gameplay is noticeably worse I may just stick with pc.

I have a friend that insisted that the switch version is based on the PS3 version.
For what I see, switch version is a middle tern.

I actually think shootings too easy as it currently is, might have to come up with some custom sliders for my league

Switch version is like the current gen version on "very low" settings. It's obvious this is not based on the PS3/360 build, but also obvious that they took the current one down to a pretty low spec. Still amazing accomplishment

I'm having an issue on Switch with MyCareer cut scenes starting with your first game, they are incredibly slow and the audio and video are out of sync. Anyone else seeing this?

I haven't heard any audio issues, but every cutscene is out of sync and really low FPS (probably around 5). Playing in portable mode, will try docked later.

I'm currently in docked mode and the cutscene audio quality is the main issue, will try docked in a little bit.

It's bad, but it's not really hampering my enjoyment. It's a quick little, i guess, reintroduction of the created character and then a quick dialogue choice, then you're playing. About 5 minutes all together. I'm sure there will be more, but the actual gameplay sound doesn't sound bad at all.

How are the newly structured servers? I kinda don't believe that there would be no input lag.

Also can I even get this on PS4 today or did I have to pre order for the early edition. The way they dropped was confusing

After I'm done finishing up some work, I'm going to pick up the microSD so I can get rolling on Switch but I think I'll snag Live today too. It's going to be great to have 2K on the go but the VC stuff is super off putting and I really enjoyed the Live demo this year. It sounds like I'd be happier maining Live and using 2K as my secondary title.

Cutscene desyncing seems to occur in portable mode. Audio crackling appears to occur in docked mode - at least from what I can tell.

Either way, the more I play, the more the performance is becoming an issue for me. I may double-dip on PC until they get this ironed out.

I normally don't have much issue with microtransactions but this sounds fucked up.

I was not a believer when mike wang said it, but after 3 online games in with a buddy (5 v 5), i believe it. No input lag on my side.

Small sample size for sure, but damn. Its immediately noticeable that they did good this year.

Have not tested the crew and pro am stuff thoigh.

It's a sports game. Nobody in the gaming media cares lul.

And 2K Sports fully knows it. The reviews of sports/racing games are shallow and the big majority is just the list of features from the press release in paragraph form instead of bullet points.

2K Sports has been tinkering with the best way to exploit VC since this gen started and they have pushed the envelope so many times before, that you can't trust their good faith anymore (remember when you had to use VC to unlock the ability to set your team rotation?). Now they are just pushing their agenda with the neighborhood. I can only imagine the 2K fanboys at OS justifying having to pay for the same haircut by saying "if you go to the barber in real life and ask for the same haircut everytime, you still pay the same in the end".

Next year, 2K Sports will start charging VC for fuel for your car if you want to travel from your home to the arena. And VC for personal security if you don't want to risk getting robbed and lose all your VC. "It's realistic guys. If you are famous you can't get out on the street without personal security".

Perfect. I don't play Crew or Pro Am. Just off-line w friends and private matches and sometimes Play Now Online when I'm feeling like it.

I just copped on PS4 Pro. Super excited now!!

Is there any way to just play multiplayer games with mycareer dude without having to go to the courts and wait for next? Like a matchmaking?

Also the story mode stuff is awful.

Why is that, I wonder? I mean fully 3 of the top 10 games are sports games every year. I'm kind of hyped to play some sports games this year though not really usually into them (FIFA and probably 2K Black Friday.) Where's the coverage?

I'm playing in PS4 Pro @ 1080p. It's noticeably downgraded online. I played nothing but Play now Online since last night and went over to Myteam to check it out. Player models in particular looked much sharper.
