Hope Nintendo doesn't stop the production of this since they've confirmed they're going to support it with shipments at least into 2018.

Incredible.

I always love pictures of lines from Japan, it never ceases to impress me. It looks like Nintendo has another successful product on their hands. Here's hoping they can supply adequate quantities to satisfy the fans.

I mean, we always knew it was going to be successful, it's just a matter of how much supply Nintendo is able to manufacture.

Snagged one from Amazon jp two hours ago while I was drinking my tea and I don't even want it that much, just thought yeah what hell let's get it.
Seeing this now I feel guilty.

Unreal.

Being in Melbourne I rarely see massive lines for video games and it's always quite the phenomenon.

Is it me or Japan loves Nintendo?

Queueing is more popular than Nintendo in Japan. I swear it's their national sport. There's going to be a gold medal for it at Tokyo 2020.
I've seen queues 50 people long for Krispy Kreme at 8:30 in the morning. Krispy Kreme. Think about that. 1/2 an hour before they opened there was a queue for trash tier donuts.

was it a new sort of donut or .. why would people line up for donuts?

donuts can be backed right there in the store if there's more demand,

I don't understand

Yeah, those are Nintendo Switch lines in January. You can see the logo on a sign in the second picture.
