I get that you can tell a story in unconventional methods and sometimes you can enhance a scene by framing it in interesting ways but what the hell even are panels at this point

But he's already told the final Reed/Doom story. Practically anything else is just burning fumes at this point. It's why the only logical way forward with Doom was to turn him into someone else. It would be like Neil Gaiman returning to Sandman, what would be the point?

Honestly I hope they put him on Astonishing X-Men. Could be a nice reunion of the uncanny x-force team with Psyloke, Fantomex, and Archangel.

i mostly read DC books, and while they still do skin-tight costumes that highlight boobs and make female characters stand "just so" they seem to be making a concerted effort to tone down that stuff, at least in the books i'm reading
is marvel doing the same? cuz that page seems to imply a hard "no"

Yeah but that's Emma's thing.
Plus the X-Men Blue squad's costumes are all jacket + body suit combos. Actually, just Jean and Hank.

Yeah they can make changes like above but it's ultimately up to the artist. I've seen Young Jean drawn like a 12 year old, or like a stacked adult depending on whose work it is.
