Four years is barely anything, same with five if you want to count the Japanese release date. Look, do I think Awakening will be considered a classic in the future? Sure, yeah, totally. A lot of people's first Fire Emblem and it sold a lot. Do I think calling it one right now when its platform is literally still getting games is right parlance here and it was released in the same decade? Nor really. I mean Warriors is out on the 3DS too for pete's sake. Give it a decade at least if you want to call it that. But hey, I'm not the word police, Nintendo or anyone else can call it that if they want to, I just think it's dumb.
To be fair, Awakening did save the entire franchise. So from that standpoint, I can see where Nintendo & KT are coming from. I probably wouldn't call Awakening a classic just yet, but I can still see their logic behind calling it one.

You should probably take video games less seriously.
Some of the wording makes it sound like there might be something from besides those games so I wouldn't be entirely surprised if Ike managed his way on there.
My hopes.
Awakening:Lon Qu,Tharja,Henry, and/or Kellam.
Fates: Azura,Kaze,Felicia,and/or Charlotte.
Shadow Dragon:Jagen. Never played SD but an older dude would be cool.
Other:Ike and Hector.
ITT I learned that this was a musou game. Saw Fire Emblem. Assumed SRPG. Didn't look any further since I haven't played past the first chapters of any Fire Emblem. The Nintendo Warriors titles have been pretty good so far. Now I'm interested.
Note that I don't think the SRPG's are bad. I just have too many games and get bored quickly.

I'm not holding my breath about the DLC having the likes of Ike and Roy. It's just going continuing the trend of this being Fire Emblem 3ds Warriors featuring Marth from the Super Smash Bros series.
20 dollar season pass is nice at least. No doubt a decision made by NoA given both IS and Koei's track records.

Kellam should be inserted into the game during a random update and without the game telling you he's playable to make you question if he's always been there.

I would love this so much.
Completely reinvigorated the series, got tons of new fans and has tons of characters people love. Half a decade ago was pretty long ago in video game time and it's impact on the franchise is obvious. From almost canceled to a Nintendo staple.

It's "focusing" on them though. The wording for the Awakening and Shadow Dragon ones make it sound like there will be content from other games, and we did get Lyn and Celica out of their "focus mostly on Shadow Dragon, Awakening and Fates" comment regarding the base game. Including Ike in the Shadow Dragon pack for example would really help it sell outside of Japan.

I must have underestimated Fates. Haven't really noticed people liking the characters from Fates that much.

It's more like Nintendo keeps pushing the siblings and I wouldn't say they're super popular, but other than Takumi, no one is really hated. And Takumi is a jerk, you're supposed to hate him a bit.
They're just kind of there.

Takumi is a beast though so he's allowed to be a douche.
Fates characters got lots of votes in the FEH Heroes poll. Some of it is probably recency bias but still.

Chances are KT will do a 2nd and/or 3rd season of DLC with more content from all the old games, but who knows.

Meh I liked her better when she was in the Arcade version of Donkey Kong. Once she started appearing in consoles she got too famous for her own good.
Don't really get the hype for Alm. They already gave Celica Marth's moveset. They'd just do the same with Alm.
Camilla also beat Lyn in the last FE Heroes voting gauntlet. Before being beat by Ike of course.

I'm not going to expect anything beyond the games named...
But I will point out there is just enough wiggle room to maybe see a standalone character in the Awakening and Shadow Dragon packs.
I feel like the simple addition of Ike and Roy would go a VERY long way to chilling people out about this roster.

Yeah, while the Heroes poll did give some good indications of popularity (to an extent).
It also isn't the best considering I saw people spend all 13 (or so) votes on just Lyn.

Celica fits with Marth's quick and rapier-like moveset here (well, aside from the fact that she really should be using magic more often), but it'd be odd for Alm.
Chrom's moveset could work better, but they might avoid it since it has an attack mimicking the Awakening cover picture.

Sadly. Part 2 is a fantastic game in my opinion.
But yes, a Echoes SD would be nice, maybe just do it FE 3 style and have the original remade in the same game lol. Also please, no Gaiden chapters that require me to sacrifice my own army.

Shoving more Awakening and Fates shit down our throats... ugh. And I had high expectations for this game's DLC too, given how bad the base roster is, but this is so disappointing.

I fully expect each pack to have like 1 character from the games that arent these 3. Disappointing as all hell. Except for the Awakening 1, which will be all Awakening characters, so 2.
