They didn’t hire him to be good, they hired him to be a disciplinarian asshole who could whip this White House in some semblance of shape befitting the gravity of the office. He felt the need to qualify hurricane relief with a statement about past debts and the status of inanimate objects. When a house burns down with people in it, you don't complain about the grass not being mown.

If a Category 5 rolled into Philadelphia, the damage would be immense. Most of the city has overhead power lines strung from house to house like it was fucking 1899.
