Injustice 2 Patch 1.10 on PS4 is deleting people's items / shaders

So NRS recently released patch 1.09 which contains Raiden (which in itself was highly controversial since he's the second MK guest character) and somehow Xbox users are able to play with Raiden

The community assumes NRS released patch 1.10 to fix this. Problem is this patch is apparently wiping people's hard earned gear, shaders, etc. I have read people should report their loss to NRS.

I know a lot of gafs play Injustice 2 but don't visit the community thread. Just wanted to spread awareness to help out my fellow IJ2-PS4 gafs to prevent you from losing all of your hard earned gear

Take away all my gear if old NRS

[edit] This patch also wipes gear on Xbox as well
Update Apparently this issue has nothing to do with Raiden this is my mistake. Also NRS is investigating the issue.

I know right? I downloaded the patch but found it fishy NRS patched out Raiden this fast. So checked gaf thread first and saw the unfortunate news ;(

Dodged a major bullet on this one because I did not start the game. I can tell my saved files are intact since they are still dated from yesterday

Fortunately my stuff appears to have been restored, but I think I might still be missing a few items.

I thought this patch was just to make getting legendaries less of a pain in the butt? And from what I've heard people still have Raiden on XBox I think it's up to Microsoft to remove him since it's on peoples hard drives.

That's not really a good assumption, as they could not have logistically turned around a patch that fast, and it affects both consoles. This seemed like a planned update patch to fix something they missed in 1.09, which seems to be the legendary multiverse requirement changes. People are right to be upset about the inventory issue, but the Raiden thing seems like a separate issue.

That seems more likely.

Also, the gear system was an awful idea from the beginning for a fighting game, and continues to be so.

I hate the stats I wish they'd just gone with a costume system like KI where you can still dress up your character but the items unlock at a certain level or when you buy them with cash so you can have it instantly if you want it.

They didn't even fucking bother to pull the patch the stupid fucks my game just updated automatically well see what happens. It cleared my inventory but opening a loot box brought it back I only lost stuff I opened yesterday but that includes an entire set of Raiden gear thanks to a guild buff : (

Yes, as long as your saved game wasn't modified. It doesn't modify them til you start the game. I'm in the same boat as you. I auto-downloaded the patch but made sure to backup my saves and never started the game.

I've got all abilities and a bunch of complete sets. So I usually check gaf before running the game when a new patch drops cause I always feared they'd wipe away all my items somehow

This is pretty bad I wonder if WB is gonna admit this is their fault because it doesn't look like this patch was tested at all. People are losing months worth of progress and hundreds of dollars worth of cash shop purchases. And the worst part is WB is not even telling people not to download the patch they haven't said what's causing the issue and that's scummy because they caused this by releasing a broken patch.

huh, saw my PS4 download and install two patches over the course of a couple of days and thought that was weird. Haven't booted the game up yet, don't think I will. Just hope I don't lose my Wonder Woman movie costume. D:

Don't launch it people are losing a day worth of progress or their entire inventories. Sometimes it's like the servers just didn't load it and opening a box brings everything back but most of the time it's just gone.

fuck, I played a few matches yesterday, didn't pay attention to my gear and shaders. Now I'm scared to start the game :(

Damn I almost booted the game up yesterday and earlier today. I spent an entire afternoon grinding to get Wonder Woman from level 1 to 20, just to do a multiverse which gave you the outfit from the recent film. I'd be upset too if I lost all my progress like that.

This has pretty much killed all my enthusiasm for the game. I normally play a few hours every night but now I'm just not feeling it anymore.

I don't see how they're going to fix this without people losing some stuff. Hopefully they can just revert all their server data to the time before the patch dropped. Still, what happens if people have been playing offline?

I lost stuff before after playing offline for a while and then updating, and it never came back. It seems like the bugs were already there, but it's just now hitting larger scale. It doesn't seem like they ever got their online/offline sync stuff together, and tells me it's not going to be an easy fix.

I can see why in SFV you can only get FM when connected. I'm fine with that if it prevents this sort of situation. I'm just skeptical they have their stuff together. I don't think I have the patch downloaded before I went offline, so I'm just gonna go through and capture everything I have to be safe.

Even people on test your might are mad as hell about losing their items and those are the most hardcore fans netherrealm has it shows how important the gear system is even to people who just use it for costuming purposes. What would you guys find acceptable as a fix if you lost your inventory? I'd expect a huge game wide drop rate buff and a ton of diamond boxes at a minimum.

We're aware that some players who downloaded the most recent Injustice 2 patch are missing Gear they have earned. For those affected by this issue - please try and reboot the game after installing the patch. This should recover any Gear earned before 9/25.

If you earned gear after 9/25 that was not restored, the game team is still investigating this issue. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this has caused and thank you for your patience!

I have no idea if they actually did anything on their side and this actually does anything, or it's just a generic response.

Guess I'll wait for reports before updating or launching.

I guess I can just hop online and fight. Then restore my save but I'd prefer not to risk it :)

A Siege patch the other week was messing with PS4 hardrives, Sony admitted fault IIRC. If this is Sony again...they need to rework their patch certification.

I'm at work right now; will be nice to be able to play this game again when I get home. But they are not making any compensations? Ouch, glad I wasn't affected but I feel for others loss. I am sure they will square up source crystal losses surely
