Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen PS4 vs PS3 character comparison trailer

Looks so much better.
60 FPS would have been nice, but the framerate looks far more consistent in that trailer.

And yes, the Jester is still creepy as hell.

It's really 30 fps? It feels like 60 in the trailer.

I mean it was 15 on the PS3 so its double that

Loved Dogma so much. Easily one of my favorite games of last gen, definitely will go through it a 2nd time on my PS4 probably early next year. Such a great game, shame about there being no actual sequel... but I don't think Capcom would have not fucked it up.

If it's just a solid 30FPS it'll feel a hundred times better than the PS3 version, I played it to death on PS3 and have barely touched it on PC (where I also converted my save) but aside from looking a ton better it just feels, so so soooo much better compared to how horribly it ran on the PS3.

I'm in because I love the hell out of this game and they got rid of the god damn black bars.

Having only played it on X360, 30 FPS will feel like butter if that is indeed what it ends up being.

Did they license the Berserk stuff for the console release in Japan? If so, I really hope they negotiated it for the West too. I'd love to have it on PC (which is the only content they removed between the last gen versions and the PC one to my knowledge).

The stable 30fps compared to the 10-30fps is the big difference

Also Dragons Dogma Online runs at 60fps on PS4 so this is strange

Love this game but man do I wish there was some kind of multiplayer. It would be awesome to play as some random pawn on someone's game or have a friend pick a pawn, that compliments his character, for you to play as.

I have it at 4k@60 on the PC.

It still looks like shit

I'm guessing you don't use ENB?

I believe there are three or four of these videos. Looks like there’s lighting and texture improvements, plus more stable frame rate. I can’t wait though. This and Destiny 2 are pretty much all I’ll play until November 7th.

I wish they could have put some effort into upgrading the terrible looking hair in this game.

I'll still buy it though. I need to rodeo chimeras again.

That Mercedes fight scene is so good. A small piece of brilliance in an otherwise rather goofy story.

Can't wait for next week to play this again!

To be honest, I find DDON not as good looking as its single-player predecessor despite being on stronger harware, so it's not so strange.

Some cleaned up graphics then.

But the important question is; Is this awesomeness of song still featured?

This could easily sway my purchase if not
Considering this is Dark Arisen, and PC players had to mod that song back in when it came to steam, odds are 'nope'.

I don't care if it's better or not. I just can't freaking wait to return to Dragon's dogma. It's the game i've missed the most after shelving the PS3.

Honestly the pc version can probably run 60fps on a toaster. I really don't understand how this is 30fps.

Isn't Dragon's Dogma Online 60fps on PS4 (in Japan, of course)? Like... huh...?

edit: looks like this was already covered.

The manuevering and movements from an Archer in Dragon's Dogma pales in comparison to Aloy's in Horizon. If DD had it, it would be the perfect archery GOAT.

Dragon's Dogma takes the edge in the various attacks you can do. Horizon is fantastic though.

I looked at the right side first, thought "Boy, that looks like shit", then realised the left side looked even worse. I'm really surprised they couldn't get this up to 60FPS.
