Rockstar doesn't have a track record of rushing anything, that's for sure.

In all honesty, I don't know enough about Rockstar's track record to be able to tell if you're being sarcastic or not :p.

I don't know why people still use DQH 1 and 2 as an example of the Switch not being good for porting to. It's a good example of a rushed port but the switch is clearly more capable

Right, which is exactly what I'm not implying. The Switch is great, and recent and upcoming releases show things can definitely be ported to it with good results. I'm specifically saying DQH1 and 2 were rushed, and am hoping rushed ports will be the exception rather than the rule. I'm hopeful though. I doubt Rockstar would release a poor version of GTA V on Switch, or any other platform for that matter.

Sounds great. Never really played this game cos my girlfriend played it instead, so I’d kinda seen most of it, but I would quite like to play it myself, and why not on the Switch!

Lack of analog triggers on the Switch will forever bug me, especially since Nintendo could update the Joycons to give you that functionality. Hopefully there’s a cruise control option when driving (I’m thinking more ahead to the hopeful GTAV port when I say that).

As for the processor wars.. I’d imagine if the Switch can run LA Noire and it’s not hugely compromised graphically, then why not port GTAV as well. Same company running a game to a certain spec, if it can run, then other games they’ve made based around similar hardware seems more than possible.

Will buy to support 3rd party development on switch. Ill enjoy replaying it, I remember it being an interesting game

But $50 for a port of a 360/ps3 game is hard to swallow.

Millions of people bought Skyrim SE for $60 last year.

Obviously not exactly the same story, but the price isn't insane. Definitely would be better at $40 like the other versions but apparently game cards are still too expensive.

haha. Understandable. I was being serious. They're known to take their time, and that generally results in well-received titles.

I wonder if GTA V would fit in a 16 GB cart. The 360 version fits in 2 DVDs but would they use the same assets on Switch? I hope not. Maybe they make GTA online a download in order to make it fit in a 16 GB cart.

Or maybe they just use a 32 GB cart just like they went crazy with the PC version and included 7 DVDs lol

I think they could use the higher quality textures with the new texture compression Switch has. They could probably make the game fit a 16GB card if they are smart on what is in the game and so on

that's not how any of this works. game != game. these two have nothing in common.
