C'mon guys, the bell line is clearly a reference to the Metallica song "For Whom the Bell Tolls". The event is called *Metal* after all!

Metal OHC whennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Waiting for DC OHCs. Might want to wait for the event to be more than 2 issues in then wait until the end. Add 8 months and there you go.

Flash Rebirth OHC came out in June/July vol 2 is May 2018 for a double shipping book. By the time we get issues 13-26 or some shit Flash Rebirth will be on issue 47-50

Why does he wear the mask!?
Finally read Marvel Legacy #1 and it was...boring

The reveal would’ve been amazing had I not had it spoiled in here

Also, it’s obvious now that the
family are coming back. About time.

I think the latter thing is a bigger deal than the thing that was actually spoiled beforehand. Anyway, I thought Legacy was pretty good, but Murder Machine blows it out of the water.

One of the best parts of DCs Rebirth one shot was how the next week all of the books released were continuing with the threads laid out. Legacy was great but I just feel like all the momentum was just wasted. Aside from Guardians and maybe Thor, it doesn't feel like anything has changed or is going anywhere new.

It was a great issue but I do t want to go out and get anything I wasn't reading already.

I agree but I'm happy about both

Going to read murder machine later

At $6, I didn't expect Legacy to do anything other than what it did. Decently enjoyable, with a great return for
Wolverine
. They should keep
the travelling trucker status quo
.

As promised earlier my modest thought bubble haul, mix of stuff bought and stuff I took to get signed. The print is Jen Bartels take on Saga and the sketch is John Allison of Daisy from Giant Days (ha take that all you San Diego full page commission guys)

good stuff! TB seems like one of the best cons out there

Thanks, yeah it probably is for me, for UK cons that are all about the comics I'd say that and London Super Comic Con are the best two and for me the Thought Bubble line up was better this year (helps its only about an hour out from where I live as well)

...what the
why would this be flaring up now? anything recent to cause them pushing this? ugh

yeah, i didn't really want dude back but they did it right, and agreed - book was pricey but enjoyable, exactly what i'd signed up for

still, reading alex alonso's "EVER WANT TO SEE THESE THINGS HAPPEN?!" bit on the last page reminded me that we really should move on from dude at some point

oh man, look at that lineup! fuck, i have like 0 chance at getting one of these, but really cool to see nonetheless

Anyone else think the Metal One-Shots are better than the actual issues of DC Metal so far? Just way more tightly written (the exposition on Metal is unbearable) and far less dependent on you having seen other things in DC.

I'm loving all of it. But of course the issues that focused on the origins of a single character are going to be more focused. That's just common sense.

They are, but Metal as a whole isn't good to me.

i like metal but i miss a lot of references
Same. I've said before that I wish I was an old DC head, because then I could appreciate this stuff a lot more.

I love it to death though. Feels like when I was a kid and I had to look in a dictionary or ask someone to find out words I didn't understand when I'd read books.

Can’t say I agree even though I enjoy the one-shots.

The Casting felt stronger than Metal has been overall. That said, Snyder is very smart about providing enough moments to make you forget that the rest of the issue is just okay. It's like talk-talk-exposition-talk-JUSTICE LEAGUE VOLTRON-talk-talk. You remember the big moment more than anything else and the rest isn't bad, it's not amazing either.

I wish Justice League Voltron had been the actual event
