It makes so much football sense for them to sign Kaep. Like they are one of 4 teams where he fits perfectly as the complimentary back up.

Like, Kaep literally fits their scheme so so well. A mobile QB who can make deep throws if needed but will mostly focus on short routes that is all set up by excellent blocking and running

But no

Brandon Weeden

Fuck it

Taken from the Pence thread:

And he praised the president for his criticism of NFL players who kneeled during the national anthem as a form of protest.

“Who would have ever said a couple years ago that a politician could take on the entire NFL and in one week, win. But by my count 183 players knelt on the national anthem nine days ago and 12 kneeled on Sunday.” he said. “Would that have happened if Hillary Clinton would have been president? No. You would have gone from 180 to everyone.”

The players absolutely gave Trump a huge public win by stopping kneeling after he tweeted about it.

Once hoyer is gone for good I'll be excited again. We'd be 3-1 if we just had a below average QB :(

Wasn't he totally competent in Cleveland and Chicago? I thought he was going to somewhere around the 22nd best QB. He's been worse than Gabbert, though.

Linking arms is cowardice bullshit. We know you're united -- you wear the same uniforms! I'm really disappointed in just about everyone across the NFL. Complete lack of empathy across the board.

Hoping for a Giants win. The season is over for them, but it'd be nice if they didn't suck so much they got a top 5 pick.

I really wish we knew what the owners said to the players behind the scenes to make the protests stop. I really wish Kap was still in the league so that he could have kept kneeling and not let everyone else change the narrative.

Yeah, I'd like to know, too. But nothing the owners said would have mattered if the league's stars decided to kneel. Would Jerry have suspended or otherwise punished Dak for kneeling? Or would Blank have cut Matt Ryan? Marginal players don't have a voice in the NFL, but the best players do. That's why I said there's a real lack of empathy across the league. The stars simply do not care enough about racial inequality to stick their neck out and it's killed the protests.

We can only hope LeBron and Curry give the finger to Adam Silver and kneel once the NBA season starts. At least the NBA's stars are socially conscious.

He didn't turn the ball over in Chicago, but the offense had a lot of trouble scoring touchdowns.

Wait. Colin Cowherd called McNabb an average QB, and we're the dumbest sports city in America for running Reid out of Philly while saying Reid had more success than the Packers who have a much better QB and a great coach.

Lel.

and that was all in like 30 seconds. Another 2 and a half minutes of rambling. Phew.

They co-opted a movement because old rich whites were told what to do and grown men were called out they name and felt some typa way

It's all bullshit

Has Kaep told us how much he's willing to come back for?

Last I heard, Michael Silver (NFL Network) said Kaep hasn't discussed money with any teams since exiting the 49ers, and that he'd be happy to sign with anyone even short-term

So those hot takes about how he'd be too expensive and lock a team up for forever? Just bullshit. Always has been always will be.

He was fine in Houston until that playoff game. That's why they got him out of town.

Yep

So I wonder what the excuses are now? He doesn't know the offense? Cutler knew Gase's offense and uh....................................................

Can't say he'd be media distraction anymore
Can't say he isn't good enough when Brandon fucking Weedon is getting a chance
Can't say money
Can't say a lot beyond calling a goddamn spade a fucking spade

This pretty much confirms what I felt watching the game live: Wentz was very sharp. His numbers from this game weren't great, but they will come if he keeps playing like this.

Also, I legit lol'd at Peters at the end of this clip. https://twitter.com/fduffy3/status/914979002527383553
Yeah I watched a video that contained all his throws and he was great all game. There were only one or two bad passes, there were like 5 passes that were perfect that either Smith or Alshon dropped. This definitely was his best game this season, but it also might be his best game of his career. Still, last year around this time he was looking like a star before coming back to earth, so I gotta see a little more before crowning him. But he's becoming more consistent, which is what he needed

Difference is that last year he seemed to get worse after each game, this year he's seeming to get better with each game. Hope it keeps up.

Gruden says Norman will be out for 2-4 weeks. They've got a bye too. If he's only out two weeks that's best case scenario for them. I think Eagles beat em again even if he's in though.

Also can't say "he'd want to start" because Silver also said he was willing to even be a backup
