Bandai Namco says make your voice heard if you want Project CARS 2 on Switch

They are saying this for literally everything. WTH

First DBFZ then SAO FB and now this.

Just put the god damn game

Not only that but after the outcry for DBFZ that they asked for they basically told Switch owners to fuck off and be happy with DBX2 instead. So what's the fucking point of showing the demand if they're not gonna do anything about it anyway.

This is the same company Nintendo partnered with on Smash Bros of all things last gen. Thanks for the support Bamco.

Bandai Namco is being really silly at this point.

The system is selling, especially in JAPAN. Just say you're bringing it or not.

Even the DBZ voice actors were wanting to see DBFZ on Switch lol. Plenty of FGC want it on Switch too because of the constant traveling, it makes it easier to get some game time in.

Yeah I'm not going to do that. I'm not going to beg anyone for ports. If you bring your game to switch, I'd buy it and play it. But if you don't, well, it's your loss, not mine. It's as simple as that.

Wasn't Project Cars one like impossible to get working on the Wii U? Switch isn't that much more powerful

Stop spreading misinformation. You can’t port a WiiU game to Switch and double it’s resolution while adding extra graphical effects with a smoother framerate if it “isn’t that much more powerful”.

Switch is 2x WiiU when portable and 4x WiiU when docked at a minimum.

For comparison Xbox One was roughly 6x more powerful than a 360 so by your standards it was barely more powerful aswell.

It would have to be scaled back obviously but I’d love to see pCARS 2 on Switch. The more variety the better.

Do need a racing game to play on Switch. Though I'm still hoping EA ports either this year's Need for Speed or release a Switch version of next years.

How is Project Cars 2 anyways?
Bugs are souring an otherwise great experience.

How would it work with the triggers on the switch?
Racing games are still playable when you assign the accelerator and brake to digital face buttons, so it shouldn't be a huge problem if the assistance is right.

A bigger concern is getting PCARS2 to run on Switch with a reasonable balance between performance and visuals. It already looks a bit sketchy on the base PS4 and Xbox One.

I'd be interested in this game on switch and probably buy it. But if you're asking me to beg after what happened last time...

How about no. If you can't be bothered to do your own legwork to see if theres a market or not for a product then don't bother. All they're doing is using people for free marketing at the end of the day.

This exactly what it is lol

"Show Demand!"

Game releases:

"Sorry guys not ENOUGH demand!"

It's funny that one of the biggest company in Japan ask for hear people voice about publishing a game on a particular system...

but BNGI seems not so infatuated about Switch

I get it with indies, but with Bamco being as large as it is, I'm sorry but it can fuck right off with this "make your voice heard" bullshit. They're large enough to figure out the demand themselves and take appropriate risks in porting their games. Unless Bamco is insinuating that their own employees that they hire to figure this stuff out for them are so incredibly incompetent that they need the likes of Twitter and enthusiast forums to literally shove the demand right in their faces, which is just sad.

So far, Bandai Namco made Switch owners beg for :
- Dragon Ball Fighter Z
- Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet
- Project CARS 2

I think it's time to stop...

Nah, I'm good.

I refuse to beg and plead with a company to allow me the privilege of being able to give them money.

This is the worst part of being a Nintendo gamer. The "test games" the "show us how much you want it" the "we are considering, possibly, in the future, a port"

Just do it or don't do it. Yes or no.

Luckily this gen I am getting enough games with 1st party and indies. So I don't have to deal with this garbage from 3rd parties. Capcom, EA, BN, etc. If you don't want to make Switch games then don't. If you make something compelling I will buy it. But I won;t beg anymore or buy sub par games to show my faith and devotion.

They're making people beg for SAO too?

Ok first of all I would've cancelled my ps4 preorder and ordered a switch version instead.

But to make people beg for it? Yoooooo bamco, knock it off with this nonsense >:x

Lolol. Looks like somebody doesn't know that the Switch userbase is going to explode this christmas.... Bamco, be hurry. Beteshda,2K,Square ect are already in the game.

Nah, I'm good. If you're not willing to release content on a thriving console with an engaged, passionate userbase, I'm certainly not going to beg you to do so.

No, they literally moved the goal post from "show interest for DBFZ" to "buy xenoverse 2 first instead"

And considering it pretty well sold out its first shipment in Japan and seems to have placed quite high on North American eShops, both have been done. Waiting to see the new goalpost, because they certainly haven't acknowledged that the game beat their supremely modest expectations nor announced DBFZ like they suggested they would.

Not even going to bother. If they had at least acknowledged the DBFZ campaign I might be a bit more receptive to stuff like this, but until they announce something new they can get fucked.

Except for with LWA, I'm grabbing that game day one

They couldn't make the first one run decently on the Wii U, said they'll see if it can be done on the (at the time known as) NX. That never happened obviously and now I don't really understand why some people are getting all hyped about the possibility of the sequel on Switch, at best the history is going to repeat itself. They'll be all excited about it periodically, saying how it looks and runs great, then something happens and suddenly it never managed to surpass 25fps and there are no resources left to try and tweak it. Just let it go people, this ain't worth it for either side apparently, otherwise the port would be announced a long time ago.

Nah, not too interested in this. Now maybe, just maybe if Bamco wanted to release a game that was a bit Darker... that had a bit more Soul to it, they'd have my attention.

Since Project Cars was supposed to come out on the Wii U, I think this one should be in good faith. And if they had that version running at 15-20fps its a good bet the Switch could do a decent version of the sequel.
