Justin Lin May Return To Direct Fast & Furious 9

Also, the Rock & Statham spin-off is being written with a 2019 release date in mind.

Chris Morgan, who has shepherded the script chores since 2006's Toyko Drift, is now writing the spin-off that will focus on Luke Hobbs, the Diplomatic Security Service agent by played by Johnson, and Deckard Shaw, an assassin character who was one of the primary bad guys in the franchise before being redeemed and joining the motley crew of anti-heroes that make up the roll call.

Meanwhile, sources say that one reason for Fast 9's push was to accomodate potential director scheduling. Sources also say Justin Lin may be lining up to return to the franchise and is the top man to helm the core entry of Fast 9

As somebody who still insists Fast & Furious 6 is the pinacle of the series - this is terrific news.

And on the sixth day the LORD David Bowie created man and woman in His image. And he saw that it was good. On the seventh day the LORD created videogames so that He might take the bloody day off for once.
Time for Han to come back. I'm still angry at the way they disrespected him and Giselle in 8 lol
Yeah that was some ol bullshit right there.

I had a cool idea on how to bring back Han.

Shaw says he needs Hobbs' help to rescue someone that he once wronged during his criminal days and has now been captured by some enemy gang he crossed. They do a bunch of action shit and then, in the third act, they find the captive...Han.

Shaw explains that when he blew up Han's car, he took him hostage and intended to use him to threaten the family, but this gang he crossed (maybe they're connected to Cipher) abducted Han before he could do so and now he wants to get him back so he can make good with Dom and co.

The movie ends with them rescuing Han and sets up for F&F9.

Also Star Trek Beyond is far closer to TOS than the other reboots and I don't get why people hate it.
