Pretty sure NHL 14 had ads in the loading screens for Subway or another fast food place. NHL 15 also has this Gatorade trophy, but I actually find it pretty clever because Gatorade bottles are a staple on top of s goalies net in hockey and they do get knocked off sometimes.

The idea is your friends see the Ads when checking your trophies, so ad trophies would be braindead easy shit, why would you make your ad the platinum, something less than 10% the user base will get?
