Jackie Chan Teases Rush Hour 4

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
Jet Li's time is up

Time for Donnie Yen to be a bad guy now

Jet Li and Donnie Yen can play villain brothers. Throw Michael Jai White or Wesley Snipes in there as Chris Tucker's uncle or some shit just to even things out.

But will this fit into the continuity of the wildly successful television version of Rush Hour?

Goddamn these two are like a bizzaro Jackie/Chris who would be rival detectives for the real Jackie and Chris. Do they even square madison?

I'd be down for a 4. 1 & 2 are classics, and 3 had some funny moments (the scene with the nun translating for them and anything with the taxi driver). I was shocked to find in here that Polanski was in 3. Eww....

That thing about him being old though, man, he's already there. Every time I see a trailer for The Foreigner I'm like "holy cow he's old".

I can already see how this is going to go. New Line/Warners are all ready to do Rush Hour 4..., so long as some Chinese outfit with more money than sense pays for most of it.

They are doing the exact same thing with the third Shanghai Noon film. No doubt they'll shoot this one in China with a mainly Chinese cast to get that Co-pro status.

If done right this could be a pillow case filled with cash for WB and they won't have to lift a finger or spend much cash.

I wonder if Chris Tucker's act still holds up. The last stand up I've seen from him (a Netflix special I believe) was almost cringe worthy. I turned it off and stared at the screen for a few minutes in disbelief and hurt.

As this point, why not. Clearly Chan wants a big hit again and Tucker is strapped for cash. Plus anything that gives Schifrin more work is okay by me. I guess it can't be as bad as #3, which I actually saw in the cinemas.

Chris Tucker probably hasn't worked since Rush Hour 3 so I'm assuming he'll be down.

He had a role in Silver Linings Playbook and Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk. He basically makes films to pay for his financial woes which were caused as a result of his own greed.

No thanks.

Please stop Jackie.

Do more Jackie Chan Adventures.

That series ended over a decade ago. It's not coming back, as cool as that would be.

Nostalgia is king these days, especially for kids stuff from the 90's. We're getting a Hey Arnold movie for example

Sure I'd watch it. Jackie's getting up there in age, but his chemistry with Chris Tucker is worth it. And hell, if the movie sucks, at least I'll go in knowing the bloopers wont disappoint.

Didnt realize Polanski was that creepy cop in 3 though. Yet another reason why 3 was terrible.

Jackie Chan Adventures had a proper finale though (technically it's 2000 too), and there weren't fans clamoring for more of it like people were with Hey Arnold and The Jungle Movie.

I could see a reboot happening down the line randomly though.

First two are classics that I can rewatch and quote all day but I think these are things that are better left in the past.

Only way I’d get hyped is if Shane Black was writing or directing.

Christ Tucker also really needs to get into shape, dude isn’t the type who looks good old and bloated.

I am only moderately ashamed that I really enjoyed the first two Rush Hour movies.

Hopes that 4 (if it happens) is good.

loved the first two but the third was so bad. not as excited for this as I once would have been.

hopefully they nailed it this time.

Shanghai Noon was really fun too back in the day.

It's odd because recently on Conan, Jackie claimed he doesn't like the Rush Hour movies because he doesn't understand some of the jokes. Probably due to something lost in translation.
