Honestly I was just going to do what I do in all threads where someone gets banned. Ignore it and move on, but people seem real determined to keep picking at the scab and in an effort to refuse it the ability to heal.
All I wanted to say in this thread was "it's insurmountable evidence now that this guys a huge scumbag" but instead a big discussion on whether you should just accept accusations or not started and then some drama over what should be really nothing.

Very unlikely. The burden is proof beyond a reasonable doubt. And bear in mind if the victim herself doesn't file a police report and pursue charges, nothing would likely even get brought against him anyway.

Is there a way to find out who got permanently banned? Some of those posters contribute too much to this forum to be ostracized for good.

But saying that people in this thread have sided with Signore or implied that the victim was a liar just isn't true. It sometimes feels that Gaf is too well moderated when the actual misogynists, racists, rape apologists and such have already been banned and people still need to find someone to argue with and to condemn.
I think we're all just going round and round with this now. Basically, you're both right. People can say, oh but we don't have any power here, but we all know that's not true. Put all of us in this thread on Twitter or Facebook and make a stink at someone over an accusation and we could do a lot of damage to someone's career and standing. personally i just took it as being reasonable/logical. It's a hard conversation to have in the first place. Add in peoples personal experience and the environment we find ourselves in the world today and shit gets heated quick.
