Marvel Announces Promotion With Arms Manufacturer Northrop Grumman At NYCC

It's legitimately one of the best comics ever made, and the juxtaposition of the anti-war messaging throughout the entire series to 600 lb American militia Chris Kyle wannabes slapping the Punisher skull on the hood of the F150 they drive near the Mexican border "on patrol" is as funny as it is immensely depressing.
Not to mention that Frank would despise these fascist shit-heads and go after them.

This is one of the dumbest marketing tie-in ideas I've seen so far.

I bet the artists are always *delighted* at having to create stories that are glorified commercials.

Principate

Saint Titanfall
I mean why are people surprised a hollywood entity has a long standing relationship with an arms/ military entity ?

Should all go find instanced where the military is shown in some movie?

Or do we all think arms manufacturers don't advertise ?
It stands out because of literally every thing to do with ironman.

They even directly reference him.

This is like Captain Planet being used as mascot for a coal or oil corporation.

Dodecagon

works for a research lab making 6 figures
Cool... Don't see any issue with this other than it'll generate tacky tie-in garbage.

I have a lot of problems with people who make things that can kill people being promoted by what are (supposed to be) role models. Regardless of whatever else they do, thats a problem.

Its completely unethical of Marvel to let superheroes be used as propaganda tools for defense contractors.

God's had his chance.
Holy fucking fuck... funny book Marvel has officially given the fuck up. Why not just make Trump a superhero, come out with an Xmen book where they all go to a special "camp" to learn how not to be mutants and teach the Avengers how to goose step.

like WHAT in the fuck?? are they hoping for here? Ike is fuckin HIIIIIIIIGH as a kite, yo.

So they cancelled the promotional event for the show but announced a partnership with a guns manufacture?

SO they cancel the thing that's fictional out of respect for the victims but then announce a real guns deal.... Oooook

Grumman is not a guns manufacturer. Why do people keep coming in here saying this?

They cancelled the one regarding a character vigilante that kills outside of the rules of law and went with a deal with a US defense contractor.

What in the fuck. Wonder what Stan Lee thinks. Shitty news. If ever there was a time to get rid of my comic collection...and paying to see another Marvel movie? Fuck Marvel, they deserve a boycott! It’s a shame too, the new Thor movie looked swell.

Oh, I feel like I jumped the gun on this, thinking they made guns. Obviously, that would have been incredibly dumb after the past week.

This is still silly but I certainly don't have a reason to get upset and boycott.

That’s what Secret Empire was more or less

Defense Contractor, so yes they make missile and laser systems. Their main business however is aerospace. I know this because I work with them daily on the E-2D Hawkeye program.

This kind of equipment is standard with the Avengers. To me it doesn’t seem out of the ordinary.

People are just freaking out about it and over exaggerating because of the events that just occurred, as seen here with many equating them to a gun manufacturer.

Best part is that its still supposed to be the real Cap that did all that.

The good Rogers that emerged out of the cosmic cube at the end of SE is basically just some weird clone.

Fuck, everything about Secret Empire was a horrible idea. The faster Perlmutter's out, the better. Well, for everyone except DC, at least. I've found myself going to them a lot lately.

Northrop chose a stealth bomber to represent themselves in their adverts. They self-identify as an arms company.
