Make sure to save the dumps individually instead of overwriting them in the /dump/ folder

For each one, dump the kernel, flash the new kernel, sync their games, and then save the dump somewhere else before moving to the next system.

Retroarch 0.9 won't load any games on my mini with the latest Hakchi release. It just gives a black screen then goes back to the menu. I reverted back to 0.8 and it works fine.

This was easier than I tought. I'm having trouble with some games that appear as "working" on the spreadsheet. Can someone tell me how to get them running, what is exactly the Compressed/ Not compressed box?

When I added my games, it automatically added them to a new folder, but I wanted to see all of the games on the main screen. Can I force my new games to appear with the originals?

Installed some of those custom borders posted in this thread... They look amazing!

Now we just need a way to associate borders with specific roms so that they switch dynamicaly.

Got it to work, some thing I did not see and not sure if it made a difference.

Use the original USB cord provided, stated before.
Make sure you plug into a known USB3.0 slot, in the back of your desktop.
Dumped the NAND, uninstalled again. Red light came back on.

Added games and its working now.

Does the 63 include the 21 games bundled with the system? Or would it be 84 total?

How do you alter the ROMs that come with the SNES Classic? I wanna replace Final Fantasy 3 with its actual Title Final Fantasy 6

How can I alter art and stuff for the original 21 games?

You need to FTP into the machine and browse to /usr/share/games/. There you will find the preinstalled CLV-P-xxxxx games. Download those to your PC. (Make sure to set your FTP client to transfer only 1 file at a time, the SNES Mini really hates more than that)

Now copy those folders to hackchi's /snes_games/ folders where your custom games are.

Now restart hakchi and you will see they appear as custom games too alongside previous ones you added, so you will want to deselect the original 21. Now you have copies that you can work with, such as changing their box art and thumbnails.

Just curious, but couldn't you flash anyone's original kernel to your own system? Is there something unique particular to your hardware?

Sorry if this has been asked, but are there any issues going through the procedure on a super famicom mini or is it basically the same? Only the installed OS language and roms are different?

If you want to use other game types then you need to install retroarch...I’ve heard of other stuff being used but don’t know how reliable it is. If you want to restore back to default you just select the uninstall option and it will revert back...

I have a US Mini and a Super Famicom Mini.

If I dump the US kernel and then flash it to the Super Famicom, will that turn this machine into the US version?

I assume no but thought Iwould ask.

I tried Doom but it doesn't run properly. Below the hud there is a line of pixels that are rendering something and it doesn't seem to be running at full speed. I know Doom on the SNES was slow, but it's not ment to be this slow.

I'm not sure exactly how I got mine recognized by my laptop again, but I did. In the process I did mess with that zig zag driver program and managed to fuck up my wireless mouse, but I can live with that.

So I was going to delete my hakchi program and reinstall. But I was going through the folders to take out the original kernel dump and the roms compiled so far.

I was noticing that my user mods folder was different and didn't have the password mod (Konami code at system boot of SNES mini on tv).

So I copy pasted that as well as the hide thumbnails and music (not sure what that does) mods into the folder and then tried to rebuild the custom kernel to get rid of those mods I didn't want.

This was after countless times trying to sync or add games. Also disabled signature driver whatever it's called by restarting my PC and pressing f7.

Not really sure if that took​ effect or not because I tried several times after that. Long story short, I disabled the bullshit password (Konami code at launch of SNES mini on tv) and I was able to rebuild the custom kernel and again sync and add games!

Also my PC (hakchi program little circle turns green) now recognizes my SNES Classic Edition when I plug into the USB and switch it on.

Just keep messing with your SNES mini til you get it. It took me about 2 and a half hours. Good luck!
