Christ, I had no idea. So Blizzard themselves doesn't even do the one aspect of the game people get most excited for.
I don't get it.
You can possibly get up to half or more of the event skins doing this. I grinded to about 4000 and ended up with all the summer ones, didn't have to buy.
I have 23k and I still don't want to use the money yet. haha

I've had three legendaries in this event and neither of them were Event Skins. No, instead I get Nomad Genji and 500 coins yesterday and fucking B.Va today.
Keep in mind that Airborn helps in cooperation with the Overwatch team, not so much with being left to their own devices and doing all the heavy lifting. The skin and weapon concept art (along with final modeling and texture work) is still done at the main Blizzard studio, while work with modeling, texturing, skinning, etc. is done in unison between Ariborn & the Overwatch team. My friend Anh Dang did concept art for a lot of the popular skins and/or weapons, such as Grillmaster 76, Sentai Genji, or McCree's revolver for his Van Helsting Legendary.
I don't play Reaper but Pumpkin skin is legit. It has cute little pumpkin decorations on the guns 😊

It is really disappointing that they didn't even bother extending this mode to other maps or something different from last year. Between this and Lucioball being the same, it diminishes the events quite a bit in my eyes as they just become even more of a push to sell loot boxes.
Junkenstein's Revenge and Uprising seem like they would be easy to incorporate into other maps and making them more permanent modes. Need those events to sell loot boxes, though.

The Zenyatta skin is pretty dope, they even changed the symbols on the bells that pop up to Cthuhlu looking runes. His meditate emote makes greenish looking runes pop up.
They also changed his holographic arms to tentacles.

Did something happen or revert with dupes again? I bought my 50 boxes last night and got a ton of dupes, which wasn't happening last time. Like, there were three or four boxes in a row where every single item was a dupe...

Sounds like my halloween event from last year.
Played a shit ton, got all the regular legendaries for hanzo/widowmaker and 2 or 3 dupes for the junkrat event skin, which was the only legendary skin I got from the event.
I got trolled pretty hard lol
This one has been pretty good so far though.
Will this stop you from buying 50 loot boxes in the future?

And while I am being pedantic, I don't like it when people refer to Winston as 'monkey'. It's not shorter than saying Winston and he isn't a monkey.

You only get dupes if you already have everything of that rarity. I have every rare, for example (Which is easy since it has the least items and you get rares often), so EVERY blue I get is a dupe, always. The event came out, no dupes for a bit, but then I got all of those too.
I got 4 legendaries not from the event, felt bad, then I turned some wow gold into boxes, just need Symm and Ana now, if I don't get Symm I'll buy her, if I don't get Ana I'll live.

Going into this Event, there were only three things I was interested in getting: Witch Mercy, Dr. Junkenstein and Reaper's Highlight Intro. So far, I've gotten Pharah's and 76's skins, Mei's hop, several random sprays and VCs, three legendary skins that aren't related to this event (76's, Genji's and Ana's...) and Junkenstein's Monster (to which I'm ok with this one).
I'll admit that for this year, the things of interest include McCree's Hunter, Symmetra's Dragon Skin, Cultist Zenyatta, and Vampire Reaper, but I'm going to look at it where if I can't get them this year, they will be something I'll work on getting next year when prices drop (to which for McCree, I'm not too worried since I at least got his USA skin during the Summer, and Reaper's skin during the Winter is pretty badass too. Symmetra I'm not too concerned about while Zenyatta already had some badass skins already, so I won't lose sleep if Cultist slips out of my hands). I like the other skins too, but honestly I can hold off on those.
As much as I don't want to do it, I might decide to give in and gamble a bit just so that I can either try and get those skins or hope that coins drop so that I can just buy them manually (to which I had saved up about 1250 coins already, so that can at least get me a skin from last year and Reaper's intro). Would like to get those other skins for this year, but 3000 feels too steep of an asking price for now.

6 loot boxes opened. 3 legendaries. One Zen Cthulhu skin (!!). One chest of gold coins. And one Islander Roadhog skin. Plus a bunch of Halloween emotes/victory poses.

Also, Totally '80's Zarya is easily Zarya's best Legendary Skin to date, and apparently, will be getting another soon-ish.
No, I almost bought 50 more right after because I was pissed and sad.
