I hate photos like this without context, because often times it ends up being misleading of whats actually goin on.

Right. I just see a guy who was greeted by another guy and is being polite in front of dozens of cameras and people. I'm no fan of Spicer, but you can't expect Myers to confront Spicer in front of all those cameras and people.

He obviously thought about subjects he wanted to hit, but this wasnt something he had writing out otherwise he would have flowed straight through, you tell by him stopping and starting

You really think Em cant come off with that stuff off the dome come on now, dude is a freestyle legend

you must not be a rapper

Not a good burn. There is no contradiction there.

Please. She tried to champion Eminem as the greatest rapper and lyricist alive over Kendrick fucking Lamar but changed her tuned to calling out Em's shit after he called out his Trump loving fans.

Against critical darling, supremely accomplished and culturally relevant young superstar Kendrick, she thinks Em is the greatest. Against Trump, she sarcastically calls Em a "real people's champ" She sure she liked him over the black guy though.

Literally her champ in one situation but in the next she scoffs at that very idea

cmon

Talking about his lyrical skill has nothing to do with his character, which is why it just looks stupid tossing this around as a "burn".

White supremacists may have tried to claim Eminem before, just because he's a white rapper, but that was never an accurate picture of his fan base or his music.

Good on him that he really had better himself over the years. This is a bold stand to take.
Edit: didn't read the last page or so. He has a long and significant rap sheet, most notably being a sexist, misogynistic and homophobic as* in the past. I do think he has been a lot mature in the recent years? (I only know his stuff from main steam news so...)

You really doing this?

The point is that she obviously never had any issue with those things before, and all of a sudden she is disgusted by his behavior.

It's transparent as fuck.

What is the only factor that changed between those two tweets?

So she thinks he's the greatest lyricist but also criticizes him for rapping about assaulting his wife.... in his lyrics

she never cared about his "lyrical skill", come on

Eminem has long been a great white champion from people who criticize rap for being violent but somehow manage to believe Em is ok

Yes, because it looks stupid when the picture people are throwing around doesn't even make sense with the point that's trying to be made, not with the context provided there anyway. It just gives anyone on the other side easy ammo use. So yes, I'd rather not have flimsy images proliferating around in support of my own general cause.

What are you on about mate?

The other chap is spot on; on the one hand she's championing him as the best rapper alive and then later on ridicules the content of his songs? She obviously didn't have an issue with his lyrics before but now sees fit to draw attention to them.

It doesn't 'look stupid' at all to me. It's a burn.

I'm a Metalhead, I'm not even American, never cared much for rap/hip hop, but I have waaaaaaay more respect for Eminem after watching that video.

Man. that was awesome!!! :D

Oh please. Eminem gets political for thirty seconds and everyone's acting like he hasn't sucked for two decades. Good for him for telling his trump supporting fans to fuck off, because I would imagine there's a pretty big overlap between their fanbases, but he'll be back to angrily growling 90 syllables a second about farting on Ariana Grande or whatever before you know it

But he doesn’t suck? By what metric would that be true?

19m views holy shit.

Watched it again. That thing was fierce. I'm 100% certain Trump's goons are trying their best to filter Eminem from his feed and he didn't watch it.

They don’t want to spend the next three days watching him stare absentmindedly at his desk while slowly humming the chorus to “The Real Slim Shady” while tears roll down his cheeks.

Eminem hasn't released a good album in nearly 15 years. The freestyle was corny as fuck and poorly delivered, when compared to [insert just about any noteworthy freestyle this year]. Lyrically he's always been questionable, he's shown limited growth, etc etc. Not trying to hear a 40+ year old man rap about assaulting women, farting, etc.

I like the message though. So I won't hate on him. But Eminem is the greatest example of white perception. He's spent his career mainly rapping about drugs, violence (against women), and schoolyard humor yet white people will argue he raps about real things unlike those (black) rappers who rap about nonsense. I'll give Eminem credit for recognizing this and discussing it on tracks like White America, but still...
