gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Are they doing the "Download everything but the executable" for pre-loading?

Apparently, which doesn't make any sense since the data is encrypted.

Edit: Restarting Steam triggers the executable download. I wonder if this points to Valve working on encryption-free pre-loads. Edit edit: Oh, the executable depot was replaced with a new one. Hopes deleted. :(

If I buy a DLC for a free game, does the game get registered on my library?
I'm asking because I kinda wanna buy the DLC for Doki Doki Literature Club! after beating it.

Yeah. The game won't suddenly count as a +1, but it will no longer disappear when uninstalled.

tried going back to xcom a bit, it managed to nuke a few hours out of my life with expected efficiency but not sure if i'm gonna keep playing it, i feel te enemy within stuff is not very interesting and idk the game feels too repetitive and easy at the point i'm at

i might move on to something else, maybe it's time to install divinity idk

i still have the painful guilt of not playing ladykiller in a bind so there's that too

It looks like Bethesda removed Denuvo from TEW 2 before the release.
RIP.

The lack of Denuvo might be unintentional. The original executable depot was replaced with a new one, so it's possible somebody used the wrong executable when creating it. The damage has been done, though, so there'd be no point in fixing the mistake.

Agents of Mayhem 66% off on Steam. That's its first discount, right? They must be desperate to get more sales

edit: well, beaten

The 66% off does not surprise me. Game was a massive bomb for what is essentially the next "saints row" in a sense.
Hell a week after release Redbox is selling the game for $20 on consoles because they wanna get back the space they used on it since apparently no one was renting it either.

Hmm that's right around the price I want it for but I got TEW and Wardor already
but I also have Steam Credit

Agents of Mayhem already at 66% off? DAYUM. It bombed even harder than I thought. That is a STEEEP discount in the same year as release.

What made Agents of Mayhem bomb? Apart from the crappy pc port

It would seem that "the gaming community" wanted a new Saints Row and this wasn't it. They also disliked that Agents doesn't have co-op (though there's a reason for that, the Agent powers would require a major overhaul in order to introduce multiplayer).
To be fair, performance is still a bit wonky so that must have had an effect on the game's poor sales too.

For you.

Hey guys

let's make a game that plays like Saints Row

and then let's have you be able to choose several different characters that actually play differently

but let's remove co-op, because this makes complete sense

No, a overhaul of the powers wouldn't be needed if the game was designed as co-op game to begin with, which, well, is what everyone asked.
