What made Agents of Mayhem bomb? Apart from the crappy pc port

-Little to no marketing
-Not Saints Row V
-Middling reviews in a year where alot of games are getting great reviews
-Sonic Mania came out around the same time and took some of the spotlight that week
-No online multiplayer/co-op which turned alot of people off because they loved it in the saints game
-The game can get real repetitive, jokes don't always land and it is a very average shooter...though it does have some charm and style that may or may not wear off over time.

So, i decided to get that bundle myself and see if i get region locked keys - i indeed got CIS\RU keys for Borderlands games, but by the looks of things all the other ones were not region locked. This also doesn't answer the question whether or not i could redeem the "global" keys here :p

Here are some leftovers, they shouldn't be region locked.

Village Monsters is funded. Half hour to go!

$12 game tier left, ATM.

They will probably return eventually, but it's ad to think that they didn't do well.

Yes, Bioshock was a huge series, but I think that Arkane's efforts are going to peter out and there won't be similar AAA-level games for a long while. Maybe something like Cyberpunk will kick things off again if it's enough of the style. Tangentially, I'm thinking of Blade Runner 2049 and how hardcore fans are nuts for it, but it's not a mass hit bringing in big money.

tried going back to xcom a bit, it managed to nuke a few hours out of my life with expected efficiency but not sure if i'm gonna keep playing it, i feel te enemy within stuff is not very interesting and idk the game feels too repetitive and easy at the point i'm at

i might move on to something else, maybe it's time to install divinity idk

i still have the painful guilt of not playing ladykiller in a bind so there's that too

You’re playing the first one (of the reboot), not XCOM 2, right?

XCOM 2 has the same core, but iterates in (mostly good) ways. Granted I haven’t finished either game (been busy), or bought the new expansion for 2 yet (can’t justify the price right now), but yeah. I still really like the games, though I do agree that the missions can get repetitive/boring. Personally, the base-building/management aspect is the most entertaining part.

That is a good analogy. Blade Runner 2049 is the Prey (2017) of movies. It was universally well received, hardcores loved it, casuals didnt consume. Hopefully both have legs.

What's the best way to multi-sell steam cards these days. I used that steam economy addon, but uninstalled it after it started selling browsing history. Sorry if wrong place to ask.

Was steam economy enhancer selling data? I thought it was Steam inventory manager?

The Lizardmen faction in Total Warhammer 2 is a good case for the return of Dinosaurs. Instead of machines, they use dinosaurs for everything and are in general totally awesome. Saurus (prototypical Lizardmen) are particually great--I suspect they're the strongest frontline troop in the game for their price, with powerful attacks and high HP. But there's a dinosaur for every occasion.
e.g. Mammals ride mammals, so why not lizards riding lizards? It's just logical.

(The big guy is Mazdamundi, basically Jabba the Hutt crossed with Elminster. He is a Slann. The smaller guy on the raptor is a Saurus hero.)

WotC is really good. It takes the best parts of XCOM 2 and cranks it up to 11.

The most surprisingly thing about it is the immense improvement in mission variety. I didn't even realise it was an issue in XCOM 2, but in WotC it feels like no two missions are the same. Also does a much better job of making the combat timers feel justified.

Agents of Mayhem is the right price for me and looks like something I want to play from InquisitorAles' screenshots of it, but with everything else that's come out this year that I still need to catch up on I don't see how I'd play it in the next 3 months.

Danganronpa and my Steam Controller are driving me insane on my Macbook right now. Sometimes it launches without the FPS counter, when I launch it from Big Picture it launches in a tiny window but my biggest problem is how the game handles the Steam controller. In the intro videos and in the menus it works just like a controller. But once the actual game starts it treats it like keyboard and mouse making the button prompts all wrong.

In the past it was normal after 2 or 3 restarts but now it just doesn't want to work.

Meltys Quest page is up!

I've seen this one mentioned a few times.
What's so special about it? The use of generic RPGMaker assets turns me off. Its something that bugs me about these RPGMaker h-games. I just wish they used more unique assets.

I guess people have two big reassons to play it.
I'm not interested in these kind of games, though, besides, there are better out there.

That it is getting released on Steam the same time as it is getting released on DLsite (actually it will release first on Steam) with a good translation and a free uncensoring patch that will also remove mosaic.
The game is also kinda fun (based on playing the demo) and lets people go through not engaging in the sex part if they want (seems to be the kind where you gotta lose to see sex).

I don't have any issue with generic RPGMaker assets use myself. They are there to be used.

God damn at that Agents sale price. If it dropped to 20 that fast, 10 shouldn't be too far down the road. I'll grab it then.

Besides, now that everyone is playing/finished Divinity Original Sin II, I am working through the first one. I'll start The Evil Within after that, while everyone is playing the sequel to that. Being so far behind on some of these games at least saves me some money. lol

That's what happens when you make a game so good, that it's hard to explain why it's so good, so the game title itself becomes the adjective for that.

In addition to pointing out terrible Dark Souls comparison the account loves AnneMunition, is confirmed cool.

I think I remember reading an interview with David Lynch where he was asked about when people compare something to Twin Peaks. His response was that it says more about the person making the comparison that it does about either Twin Peaks or what it was compared to. The same seems true about Dark Souls, especially the people who compare Mario, Assassin's Creed or a racing game.

I guess that's true, Twin Peaks is the Dark Souls of TV Shows after all.

Hey guys

let's make a game that plays like Saints Row

and then let's have you be able to choose several different characters that actually play differently

but let's remove co-op, because this makes complete sense
FWIW, a friend and I both bought all the recent SR games day one for co-op, and wouldn't have touched them without it.

I wonder if they'll ever get around to making Saints Row V

Still enjoying Middle Earth 2 even though I've mainly been going around getting collectables before doing main missions.
I think I've made Talion strong enough to take on most captains in this game since i unlocked the stun to rapid sword attack now.
