Sorry for the bump, does anyone know what am I supposed to do here? Tried using my Source powers (Bless) but nothing happened.

Just got to Driftwood and have been questing around in there for an hour or so.
Saved the egg, reuinited the son with his mom by the drawbridge, and did the ritual with the Meistr
. It's almost intimidating seeing the game open back up after exploring every nook of Fort Joy. It's like when you leave White Orchard for Velen in Witcher 3. Falling back in love with the game hard after a brief hiatus. Any general tips for this area? My party is all level 9 currently.

I also don't like how the events on the ship
kill off the other companions. I was looking forward to using them more
, cause I sure don't see myself replaying a game this massive. I feel like they ought to provide some kind of warning, as I almost went and took helm of the ship without recruiting anyone back.

I think that gives you a schematic if you click on it and use a dialog option to give it source.

But that option doesn't show up.
Strange, maybe I have to return later.

I've managed to cheese a few fights, and level up to 13. I'm going to continue on.

I don't really understand Source though. It depletes and the only way to replenish is items (Purging Wand?), some of the Source Water puddles and maybe some other things coming up?

One enemy,
the witch in the cave on Dragon's Beach,
used Charm on my Beast, and he used his Source skill on me. It was mediocre and quite expensive. Oh well, I hope I find a use for them later, but now they seem very eh.

Maybe it gets more excting later in the game, but for being the entire thrust of the Divinity universe, your source abilities are very meh. I've only ever used them in combat by accident. What if I need to Bless something in the next room? I'm not running all over the map looking for a puddle just because I wanted my lizardman to gain 127 Magical Armour. Also, half the things that have seemed like I should cast Bless on have done nothing, which I find strange for such an open game with multiple endings to every scenario. The source abilities should seem like they matter more, but they simply don't (at this point).

My Aerothurge/Hydrosophist has learned a couple skills that require source points that seem powerful, like Chain Lightning, but that costs 2 source points and I haven't even unlocked that many yet. And who knows how long it would take to accumulate 2 source points? Seems like it's not worth it. How can I ever cast that spell when it's so unreliable? I have to depend upon finding two random puddles somewhere on the map if I ever want to use that spell? How can you depend on that?

You shouldn't worry so much about replenishing source. In Act 2 there's a fountain you can use as much as you like, and you gain an ability that will let you acquire source even when there are no puddles nearby.

Gaining source becomes moot very fast, so don't worry.

My only complaint about
Source Vampirism
is that you don't
jump on them and sink your teeth in them
.

I sti get error 304 on saves. Anyone else? Seems random

Got the same issue transitioning into the Arena of the One. A huge shame, I was finally really clicking with this game and here comes this game ending bug. :(

It's cool to hear that it becomes moot, but I'm already 40 hours in and a considerable ways through Act II, so I'm not sure if I'd refer to that as "very fast."

Since you mentioned the word
vampirism
, does that have anything to do with
Rycker
? I just started that quest last night.

I got it pretty close to the start of Act 2. I think it really depends if you focus on side or main quests.

No, it is whenever you get your
third source point
.

Was somehow able to finally get past this after spending a few hours trying over and over. I don't know what did it, but on the last try I sold some items in my inventory on a prior save and replayed the section. Don't know if that will help anyone with the same issue but it's worth a shot.

I suggest doing this:

Turn of steam cloud for this game
Use GameSave Manager to do your own backups
Trim your saves every now and then
turn up your quicksave slot allotment

504 errors when saving is usually a syncing issue. if you use gdrive to sync saves or anything really that syncs will cause the error a lot. took me awhile to figure that out

That's what I just did it on....though at first I had a ton of trouble. It could be really easy or really hard depending on your choices.
I'll just say there's only one character you actually have to fight, and ton of people you potentially could. If you fight them all I think it's impossible. I just fought the one.

Is the one character
Lucian?

Focused on him, nearly had him, then he cast
Invulnerable
so I gave up.
Think I need to load an earlier save and spend all my gold on gear and res scrolls etc.

What should I answer when the
scrawl of black ring asks to kill t he divine down at the altar
?

You can side with him or
Alex
or
none of them
but overall it makes little to no difference in how the story develops. It's a role playing moment so just do whatever you feel is right for your character.

(Act 2 story quest spoilers) I got the
source vamprism
skill in one game but not the other. guess I didn't pick the right dialogue option that time, and left after only getting
spirit vision
. That's pretty annoying, seems like something i'm going to want. How the hell do I get it now?

You get source vampirism when you conduct the ritual after obtaining 3 source points. If that happens to be the first time you conduct the ritual, then presumably you'll get spirit vision and source vampirism at the same time. But in my playthrough it was two separate trips to the Hall of Echoes.

This pretty much sums up my daily experience with the game:
- Start play session with a clear goal of what I want to accomplish during the next hour
- Within the first 5 minutes get completely distracted and absorbed in something along the way to my goal that takes up the next 90 minutes
- Waypoint back to town to sell things, and then off again to be distracted by something else cool and interesting along the way

There's so much great content.

Nope. The one character is
The "hooded" one or whatever they call him next to Dallis.
I'll separate this but you may want to know to save you some time:
You should agree to sacrifice your source to Lucian and stop Ifan from attacking if he is there. It won't affect your ending, you can still make a different choice later. Braccus Rex will reveal himself. Then just focus on him and everyone else will as well. He summons a ton of other people but you can ignore them. If you don't do it this way, you will have to fight everyone, and then Braccus will reveal himself anyways and the second fight is the same, only without everyones help!

Just got done by doing that, makes the final battle a hell of a lot easier.

So my protagonist (Lohse) just had kinky sex with Red Prince. Ok then. Romance storylines don't seem that detailed, I didn't flirt with Red Prince much, but I still had the choice to sleep with him.

Yeah the romances are a bit bugged. I've had characters acting as though I was in a romance with them/slept with them when I hadn't.

Anoregon

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
My MC is Fane and I haven't had any sexy time options with Lohse yet. I think she's racist against skeletons.

Currygan

at last, for christ's sake
I just got to
Arx
for what I assume is Act 3. How far along this amazing ride am I?

That is the grand finale. Speaking of which..

Finished. I had issues with the last boss (explained in my previous posts) so ended up killing everyone. Felt damn good when my Ifan
one shotted the Kraken while 2H Sebille,
Incarnate Champion and Fire Slug cornered asshole Braccus
and went savage on his arse. No teleport for you, sunshine

And obviously, game crashed during the final cutscene 🤣

Still thinking about how Id rate it

I played too much this weekend hoping I'd finish the game and take a nice break before Mario comes out.

Then I remembered there's a whole Dungeon Master mode I want to try.

Weird.

Fane and Sebille are totally flirting and working their way there through acts.

Before act 3 she spanked Fane in the butt.

Maybe Lohse isn't the flirtng type. Probably a fish in bed..

do Fane betrays you by default if he's one of your companions?

Had to replace the motherfucker with a new blank, i have to find all the skill books again

Don't really care about spoilers, even if i do a second run i'm not gonna pick him

Finished it tonight after around 120 hrs doing all the quests and exploring everything that i could find. Awesome game. Didn't expect Arx to be THAT big. I reached it thursday night and expected to be done on friday but in the end took me till monday night.

As far as romantic plots i mained with the Beast and he and Sebille fell in love with each other.

I wonder if it is possible to get Red Prince and Beast in a romantic relationship.

Is there any benefit to engaging in this romance stuff? After 40 hours I don't think I've ever engaged in conversation between my party members outside of quest dialogue.

I finished the
Mordus
fight after a dozen tries last night. I kind of dislike that it seems impossible for me to win these fights straight up. I spent 45 minutes trying to do the fight head to head, getting him to half health on his second form, but that was only possible because everything went right for me that battle. I eventually, just like with a lot of fights, formed a circle with my dudes and warped him in between us from across the map after finding the optimal spot to stand in through trial and error.

There is one very minor benefit. Later you'll want each member's personal support for one main plot point. Having a guy smitten with you means he gives you automatic support.

Can someone give me some combat tips concerning the elements and their connectivity such as rain + air skills. It seems to be unpredictable and it backfires for me constantly, stunning and damaging my melee chars. Which area/puddles of water getting electrified seems a bit random in how the effect is spread. Sometimes it's spreading quite far other times not so much or not at all, even if there's a lot of water.
Any tips?

No one betrayed me, but I know that all characters could.
