All I'll say is I know the environment here and I've gone out to the gayborhood many times. I might find somewhere else that is more diverse if I plan on going out.

You live in WV? I had no idea! I'm in the eastern panhandle. I'm literally like 2-3 minutes from the MD state line, and like 20-25ish minutes from the PA and VA state lines.

Eventually we could meet. WV isn't as big as I thought when I drove through it a few years ago. We could meet in the middle or whatever or I'll come there. Regardless #WVstrong.
I wish everyone lived closer so we could do a meet up! I know Via isn't that far from me, a few hours tops, I wish Beth was closer. Ugh. I want to be in the same room collectively with you all!

Yes, I was super lucky. I live between the two big fires but the evac zones never quite got to me. One day I bounced with my dog anyway but ended up going back. But some people I know have lost everything. It's absolutely insane how much it spread...but the winds were 60-70MPH the night it caught.So yeah, extreme craziness and it looks like Beijing when I go outside, but fortunate as hell. So now just going to volunteer where I can to help the people who are really hurting. The word is so far that many places are turning volunteers away, but it'll thin out as time passes. But that's always good to hear!

Extremely glad you are are safe! I can't imagine the devastation thats going on currently. Seeing pictures, and media coverage just sickens me. I'm sorry to hear you know people who were affected by this, losing everything is tough, but material items can be replaced thankfully, but people and animals are a completely different thing. The winds were that strong? Thats insanity.
You're a great person for wanting to volunteer and even if they're turning people away, eventually you can serve as like you said, it'll begin to fade out eventually. Wishing you the best in staying safe. =)
I've been to California(My ex lived in Pomona to be exact, and visited San Bernardino, San Diego, Hollywood to name a few places) and I loved it completely. The scenery, the life, atmosphere. It's incredible. I really miss it a lot. I like WV, but honestly, theres nothing here.
My heart is in California even if he hates me and that I'm dead to him.

Thanks! I know if I were displaced I'd be going insane. So I want to help where I can. I couldn't imagine being stuck in the veterans building with all those people for weeks at a time. I'd get so stabby. And yeah CA is fantastic! Just over priced but it's worth it. I'm sorry your ex hates you...? After enough time if he still does, he needs to get over it. Time is supposed to heal. That said, you can always avoid him by staying in Northern CA.

I finished Resident Evil 7 not too long ago. It was decent. I want to buy Outlast 2, and some others when they release towards holiday but I have too many games I need to finish still.

Ok here it is. I don't get why he is so upset. I can see he wanted input on the matter and I would have noticed it, I would have replied. It doesn't mean we don't like you, eventually when I would have took time to read over what I missed(i've been extremely busy all day and only replied to newer post) that you would have gotten an honest reply.
From what I've seen during your time here, you are liked here. No reason to think you are not. Not sure if your mad about something else or having a bad day, but you can always message me if you need to talk or vent.
I'd hate to believe members think they have no right to post here or believe they are not liked. I may be one of the newer faces but I won't allow someone to feel that way... unless your an asshole, then you will be smothered out.
Now if we're talking about the back round, I am a fan of it admittedly and you do have artistic skills. The lighting is good as it shows the definition of your body also.

God that #MeToo thread is making me so sad. I wanted to post a status about it on facebook but most of my friends are religious and I still slightly blame myself for when it happened and I don't know how most of them would react to a gay person experiencing this. But it does make me hopeful reading about how many of these people are speaking up.

OMG I know! I have had so many female friends on FB post it. It's just sad. But this is how things change... people finally speaking up. Same with equal pay for women. People are speaking up, it's in the conversation now. That's how our own community has clawed our way into having the rights we have today. We just made sure the conversation never stopped, people came around. Definitely not at the end of the road but we're so much further than when I was in high school, that's for darn sure.
So yes, it's very sad, but think of the catharsis people are feeling now that everyone is coming out with their stories together. And think of how much good this will do for future victims and the prevention of it from happening as much down the road.
