Autumn Anime 2017 |OT| Makes us all rotten

I dunno, I never thought it was difficult to understand.
Some years ago a gate to another dimension opened, New York was destroyed and fused together with that dimension, creating Hellsalem's Lot, a city where humans and monsters live together and all kinds of whacky and crazy shit happens all the time.
Leonardo and Co. are constantly caught up in all that chaos and fight against bad monsters, the strongest of them being the Blood Breeds.
Leonardo has special eyes.
That's basically everything you need to know, the constant chaos is just something that exists but doesn't need to be thought about too deeply :p

Except blood breeds are ignored after episode 8 or 9.

The dialogues are too vague too.

The Girl's Last Tour is shaping up to be the program that Kino's Journey should be. Not sure how that happened.

No, I mean it, between the boobs, the monsters and the violence this may a better anime adaptation of DmC than Dante eats ice cream.

This seems like it may be funny.

March Comes in like a Lion 01
Really strong first episode!

Hope I don't have to know anything about shogi for this. Doesn't seem like I will.

Hopefully Sword never fights a horror tank.

Devil May Cry 2 is so bad guys.

It's so bad.

i didnt play sun or moon but lusamine is a very hot momma. thats all

The anime's portrayal of her is hilarious considering how she was in the game.

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou - 3

New guy is pretty chill I like him. I'm loving this so far, every episode gets me more intrigued about the world. So it seems that people got quite advanced, developed levels, apocalypse came about, people made stuff to compensate the stuff they didn't knew about, then a second apocalypse came about and now we are following the girls. And there's still cigarettes. Venera would be disappointed.

Kino no Tabi - 3

If you stop to think about it, Kino passed through two countries, so technically they didn't break the 3 days rule...
In the case of this specific country I would side with the travelling country, but damn, they are way beyond bothersome.

so far she's a total goofball

I'm not entirely sure if their endgame is the same since ultra s&m is probably gonna tinker with her a bit, but so far she's more like a complete doting but airheaded mother than the ragyo 2.0 the initial games set her as. Lillie isn't putting up with any of her crap right from the start lol.

her va is excellent too

Ooh, interesting, I should really catch up on this

Ohhh, I like the revelations in this episode. Explains why the girls spend literally their entire days traveling through empty streets and why we only finally meet a third character in this episode. There's still a lot of big mysteries and a lot of unanswered questions that will keep me watching this for awhile, I think.

Oddly enough, I felt the first episode was almost fully self-contained and could have worked well enough as a one-shot, but this episode has me rethinking that stance. And yeah - shades of Kino here with the meeting some random traveler and having a thought-provoking experience. Definitely looking forward to seeing more.

Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World - 03

I know this series has always had a fondness for the bizarre... but that country has a level of technology so far beyond everything else I'd ever seen for the series that it's kind of mind-boggling. Yes, moreso than the talking dog and motorcycle. I get this impression that the author just wanted to put whatever interesting ideas came to mind into the series, with not nearly as much thought into making sure the setting is coherent as a whole.

That's not necessarily a problem if you're willing to take it on its face - the interactions between the different nations and Kino are the biggest draw of the series, after all - but at times like these I really do kind of wish there was more explanation for it all. It feels quite disjointed when you have a country in a moving, impenetrable cylinder with an unfathomably powerful laser next to guys using classic gunpowder-based weaponry (and laser-guided missile launchers). Ah, well. I'll just have to accept it as one of the eccentricities of the setting.

I can see what other folks are talking about with regards to how dry the presentation is. Personally, I enjoy it quite a bit. It feels nice and relaxing up until the point where we have the episode's conflict... where it's still actually weirdly relaxing thanks to the country's oddly calm demeanor as they smash into the other nation's territory while they're getting blasted with cannon fire and missiles. Funny stuff, actually. The previous two episodes trained me to expect a much more sinister outcome, too, so I was surprised to see them show so much consideration for the other side (well, as much consideration as they can give them when the thing they're riding on can literally explode if they stop for too long).

Right now it's not a series that has me gunning for it as soon as a new episode is up, but I'm certainly enjoying it enough to keep going.

Inuyashiki Episode 2

Wow what is Oda teaching kids these days if they are turning out like Hiro's, what a strange character to have that likes One Piece...Though he is so far the more interesting Inuyashiki character and also his friend Chokko, hopefully the old man and his friend can get him back onto the right path and make him make amends for the wrongs he has thus far committed.

Otherwise a bit too high on the gorey meter for me.

I thought it was a fantastic and pretty chilling.

Granted
the little boy drowning under the weight of his dead father in a bathtub full of blood was really fucked up.

Magical Circle GuruGuru 15

Forgot to watch this on Tuesday since it was Etrian Odyssey 5 day, but this is looking to be a three part segment after Mr Hero fucked up with the heart of a girl, since he's a playboy.

Not too big on the Juju bit though,

So a new November tradition of mine is to watch some bad anime.

Make a suggestion for something to watch on Funimation that is bad and around 50 episodes or less. The best agreed upon show that I haven't seen I will watch. Can be bad bad or just depressing.

Net-juu no Susume 3

MoriMori is growing on me. Her reactions are hilarious.
I also want to see the reactions of Sakura-chan.

Just Because 3

Shame this one is having so many problems in its production; it is the perfect anime of this season for chill out after a hard day of work.

More than My Hero Academia?

Jesus Christ no. Don’t listen to DTL.

Already dropped Black Clover. The main character may be the most annoying protagonist I’ve ever seen in a shounen. His voice acting is beyond grating as well. Apparently they want to stretch it out so there is already tons of filler 3 episodes in.

My fanboyness of MHA has very little to do with how bad Black Clover's anime is. :p

I was hoping that the anime would convince me that it was worth watching, but man did it fail at that. If you want to experience BC I'm assuming you'll want to read the manga because then at least you would never have to hear Asta's voice.

Astro-Grandpa

Animation reminds me of Gantz

Isn't it by the same person?

Is it just me or does Inuyashiki have really bad voice acting? The premise and everything is great but damn the VA is almost distracting sometimes.

It really does feel off. I can't tell if that is on purpose though. The main murdery guy has a real weird voice for anime but it kind of fits with how unsettling he is.

Garo Vanishing Line - Episode 3

Wow this episode was actually.... really good! Would love for more episodes like this down the line. First episode of the series written by Yutaka Yasunaga, and definitely feels more like the stuff a buddy of Taku Kishimoto would write. The series is still very much GONZO, but it's fun and episodic now, and the action is toned down. Impressive that Park has storyboarded all 3 episodes so far though. Wonder when he'll slow down on that.

Mafia + cyberHorror + assassin chick = Fun times!
