Super Mario Odyssey follows the gameplay lineage established in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine with open spaces and an extremely flexible moveset to navigate these spaces non-linearly. Mario has to discover, earn, or reach moons (no relation) to power the Odyssey, his aircraft, to chase after Bowser and Peach. Mario has a buddy with him this time: Cappy, his googly-eyed hat which he can throw and use for even more crazy platforming. But that is not all, throwing Cappy at enemies or random objects in the world lets Mario take them over. Ever wanted to be Taxi Mario? Well...

I'm picking my copy up at my Gamestop in the mall. They're doing an early release at 10pm tonight.

Can't wait to play it.

This game has had 3 OTs before it even releases!

I plan on buying this around 3am after getting up to buy the iPhone X. Will play this weekend and am very much looking forward to it.

I never skipped a nintendo console because of their exclusive game but I regretted buying a WiiU as even the Mario/Zelda that we got on it were far from my favorite.
I'll be buying a Switch for this game though, no regrets! And I've been waiting to buy BOTW as well.

Like the OT!

You said in the OT thread there will be something special about this one?

Can't see it?

He made both OTs for both sites. They are both great, but they are different in a very cool way.

Looks great moon. I can only post here right now. But looks great!

I can't remember. How can you tell if your GS is doing a early release? I haven't done it since halo 2.

Mine let me know when I paid my preorder off yesterday. They're in the mall, which closes at 9, so I imagine Gamestop had to pull some strings with Nintendo to break the street date.

Tomorrow can't come soon enough! With OT scrubbed (for now) from the site, my post history for gaming only made it easy to find threads I posted in in 2007 as Galaxy 1 was about to come out. 10 years later, I'm just as excited (if not more) for this upcoming game.

Here we go!

Are you telling me...the Bowser letter?

Oh boy.

Like the OT!

Bowser Letter for GAF
Peach Letter for ResetERA

Let's say the Peach letter is...erm...more explicit about alluding to certain recent forum-related events, Bowser storming upon Peach and taking her against her will despite verbal rejection.
I had a feeling TheMoon would do something like this.

I am happy that one of my last posts on this forum will be to tell you how awesome it is what you have done. 6/5 moon.
savage, delicate. perfect.

Gut gemacht! vor allem mit dem Brief.

might have gotten that wrong, was basing this off of E3 info. assume it's not optional until someone confirms!

there is a setting in the options to turn them off

This game is SO GOOD.

Just finished a boss which I never thought I'd see the likes of in a Mario game, incredible. (if a little easy)

Crap. I preordered mine a few months ago. I guess I'll have to call.
