I understand. Im fine now I managed to get in.
Some info for those not yet in if you are a member of a selected community (not sure which) there will be another secret code in 3 hours or so. This will be the final code. After that regular sign ups will be the way. There is no ETA on when regular sign ups will happen but when they do you will be able to apply and wait for manual approval. Once you are in you will start as a junior member. Good luck duders.

I think the confusion comes from that there a people like myself who were in the gbgaf discord and were removed with no explanation, others looking to join the gbgaf discord for the first time and finally a third group looking for invites for membership to the new website.
So right now everyone is talking past one another.

Right. When the Titanic got into the shower with the iceberg, people got on the nearest Discord lifeboat to avoid the sinking ship.
I got on the SteamGAF lifeboat. But there were around 100 total Discords floating around for people to climb aboard.
From there, people were handed out timed registration links to the site when it went up. To ease the load on the server, those were sent out in waves. You can still probably swim on over to a Discord server, but who knows when the next round of registrations is going on. Open registration should be soon enough, I'd imagine. That's really going to hammer the site though. Hopefully it can survive.
I got in through the Steam discord. It's on the first page of every SteamGAF thread. Just quote the first post to see it.

Not in the sense that we can just give them an invite, at least.
Also: Im not speaking from any authority here, but as far as I know nobodys being added to the GB Discord (which, to be clear, is not associated with any forum nor can get you verified for anything) currently due to the mods having to deal with the suddenly huge volume of new people (me included) as is. It may be a while before that changes. If that changes someone will probably post about it so if youre stuck/staying here its probably better to just wait till then instead of posting asking. Someone already PMed me for the Discord link so I thought I should say that much.

Based on the the stickied posts on the new forum the mods should be able to make you a member right away if you can proof that you were a member here. Obviously with the huge influx of people expected to sign up this will not be instant.
I'm sure they are dealing with all kinds of shit right now.
I have it on good authority that the Discord previously mentioned here was intended as a transitionary place to hang out in and does not organize invites to the new forum. People got there via other communities. Hope to see all nice folks in OT | Arrow Pointing Down once I can get in by public registration.

Open registration for the other site begins tonight. I'd recommend registering over there and hopefully you can get into the GB Discord once you're there.

If you're referring to the new forum, that isn't how you get in. You had to be part of communities that got codes to register or have a hookup from one of those communities. Public registration will be soon (hopefully tomorrow)

I know its under GB Playdate but I know they sometimes continue. If they are might resub for the month until I get my shit together for the yearly one again.

Yeah. The invite system with discord codes has ceased, so there is no reason to ask for invites anymore.
In the morning of the western hemisphere the 'regular' signup system goes live, so look out for that.
With that, i've probably used up most of the usefulness of my account on GAF, although I intend to keep it around.

That Assassins creed origins quick look was pretty poor on alex's part. Like all he wanted to do was missions. Part of the allure of Assassins creed is doing dumb shit and looking at the sites. Go fight a crocodile or climb a pyramid etc. everybody knows the mission structure of the games by this point.

Man GAF was one of the only things I could forward to these days and thats been taken from me because this place will never be the same.
