Looks like they're taking a page from the Global playbook. Probably something we'll see a lot more of in JP going forward.

I'm pretty sure the tent takes you out. So then you have to pay the NRG price again and I believe you start fresh. So yeah, you get your HP/MP back as well as status removed, but pretty sure LB is gone as well.
I dunno. For mobile games I don't want a full game experience. I just want something more relaxing to play. But I feel like it's further diverging from what is fun and what I enjoy. To point it's only going to be story. And I sure as hell don't play this game for the awful story they have going on.

I'm not JP, but noticed that double 5* banners came around in higher frequency once the rate up occurred. So more 5*s in general, but your specific banner 5* rate is still 0.5%, just like before rate up. There are exceptions, of course. I believe CG Sakura is a solo 5* banner.
I'm nearing 10k lapis now. What's a good upcoming banner to let it all ride on? TBF I'm most looking forward to Bravely Default, if we're getting that. Not because the units are all that spectacular, just because I love that series.

I am 99% positive I used a tent as an item without it removing me from the stage. That only happens if you use it at the prompts when you get to one of the "safe zones".
Thanks to all of you that chimed in on the double 5* bases. At least in GL I have the advantage of seeing how most of the banners are going to shape up, minus global shifts and exclusives.

Don't get too upset about not being able to finish every event yet. The last couple story event stages always have a pretty hefty difficulty increase. Also, make sure you do the raid as much as you can while it's here. Preferably with mugging unit or one of the 2* thieves that give bonus gil upon quest completion. Even if you fail the raid, you still get raid points for trying, so there's no negative to just throwing whatever you can at the boss and collecting your morsels afterwards.
News just confirmed FFXII banner is coming up with both Basch and Balthier as a double 5* banner. Man, I'm really getting tired of 2 5* banners. I'm actually getting pretty tired of the game altogether. It doesn't help that most of the conversation died from this place, but I may be hanging it up in a few weeks, we'll see.

Get used to the double 5's. I hate it but it gets folks to spend resources. Honestly, I'm waiting until units I like in JP show up to get into spending again. I have a few more tickets with this stuff, but trying to get old man on this banner for his Moogles is impossible, so just saving now. Banners lately have been pretty shit. Only spent anything on recent one for these Moogles, but I'll probably just end up selling them. Don't feel like carrying Moogles around for units that may or may not come back. And if they do god only knows how long it'll be.
Getting a bit tired and frustrated with game. I feel like these days there is a lot less to do in general. And that's great, but it means my ties are loosening. I chat in Discord still. But honestly, I miss the community all together. It's pretty desolate now. I don't even really have my old Poke gang to fall back on since the ones I usually dealt with are gone. Just feel lost after GAF took a hit. Miss the old conversations and hype here.
I've been tettering on getting rid of my alt account lately. Well, not get rid of, but stop playing. Hasn't happened yet, but that's the first thing that would happen. I think my main would be next if I were to stop. Have way better luck and roster on JP, so that would be my last.

Time-limited 5*s are an interesting conundrum for the game to solve as most people would've pulled for them before we knew we'd need 2 copies to make it 7* and 4 copies to get the 7* TMR. The solution would be to: (1) not 7* the time limited units which would devalue them, (2) 7* them without re-running the units which would make the vast majority of people using the unit without additional copies salty, or (3) 7* them while re-running the units. Option 3 seems like the only way to go that wouldn't piss off the users.
As an aside, Fire Emblem Heroes isn't even a year old yet and they've already rerun some time-limited units on special banners. Twice.

Got my first bit of good luck in this game since forever ago. Did the first few levels of this new event and got enough for the cheapest 2 tickets. First one got me Sara, bleh. 2nd one went Gold from the start into rainbow, and out pops Basch fon Rosenberg of Dalmasca!
Feels good to get a spot of luck without throwing money at the game. Now if the rest of those tickets can luck me into a few Larsa units, I should be good for this event.

Was begining to get a bit bored and had a bit saved up in Global (perhaps whybthe boredom, no pulling), so I splurged on the Basch/Baltier banner (which caught me completly off guard. I was a few months into Japan when this event came around, it really jumped ahead in the schedule?)

Normally I would have stopped at one, especially as I double rainbowed. 2nd Ace and 1st Knight Delita...but my only 'gap' in my line up is a 5* tank so I was prepared to dump what I had...both Baltier and Basch in my second multi...holy moly. Now I'm interetesed again...it's like they knew it was wayning in favour of JP. Pro tip: Don't get all your dailies done a few days in a row, they'll think you're quitting

Holy balls. Just finished the LGD achievements for the FFXII event, hit a bunch of bonus monsters on my run. Bought all the 4* guaranteed tickets from the moogle. 1st one - Vayne (nice!). 2nd one - Blue -> Gold -> Rainbow and the leading fucking man pops up. I mean what the hell are the chances.

Sadly, no.
That's the purpose of the 3*-->5* unit that by far is the most common unit in each banner.
Although occasionally those units might possess okay TMs, they are just there to be on-banner "loser" pulls. At least during a Mog King event, they can be used as a 50% event currency buff. So that's something. But after the event ends.... yeah, pretty worthless.

Got my Lenneth to 7-star last night and she's almost to Lv. 120.
She's definitely much stronger than her data dump implies. She's able to chain and finish in the same turn thanks to her Triple Ability and can use Bows, which can provide her damage variance and elemental properties to better her modest modifiers. She can chain with herself or can chain with Sephiroth for a pretty common chainer though there are others as well. She even has accessible AOE attacks that are powerful if you need to clear groups. She uses MP like crazy though which is the most notable problem for me right now.
I need to get Freya and Arngrim to test them out but I'm kind of expecting good things from them if Lenneth turned out this well.

It's been days and I still can't install the game on my iPad or iPhone. Not sure what's going on and talking to their customer service has been frustrating because they don't read and end up making this whole thing take longer than necessary by not actually looking at what my problem is and trying to fix it. I haven't played Global in a few days because of it and it's frustrating.

Sucks that you can't get in. I haven't seen any posts talking about a widespread login issue, so it might just be related to your device. I'm sure you already tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but I'm not sure what else to try. I haven't played around with iOS in years.

Thanks. I'm not a whale but I farm a ton of TMR. Lacking Ayaka and Basch as must have rainbows but I can always field a pretty good team. Still haven't beaten Malboro, a lot of the trials still elude me, and I know its a matter of paying attention to my buffs and debuffs

I don't know what it is, but ever since stopping spending on this game, my luck has increased tenfold. Today, Off of 7 tickets and 1 4* ticket, I got one of the new 4* units and CG Sakura. Pretty excited about getting her, since I was fairly sure I wasn't going to. I'm only using tickets on banners now and saving lapis for limited units. Anyways, I watched Sakura's LB and I was wondering - does anyone else think the cutscene makes her head look absurdly huge?
Too many 7-stars, not enough XP to level them all.
I got lucky as hell the last couple of weeks and ended up with 7* Lenneth, 7* Freya, and 7* Vincent! Amazing. The problem I have now is that I don't have enough EXP to level them up so they're stuck at 101. I decided not to press my luck anymore so I won't be pulling for a while. Considering my shitty luck with the JP version up until now, I'm surprised, shocked, and overall happy. Now if I could only get this kind of luck in Fate/Grand Order!
Still trying to decide if I should use one of my Select Tickets to get a second Tidus, but considering I can't even level the guys I have now, it may be a good idea to wait.
Another problem I have is what to spend my moogles on. I've been saving moogles for a while and now I'm at a loss. I have 200% in moogles and so I'm trying to figure out who's TMR would be worth getting. I am thinking of getting Freya's for her since that extra 50% MAG would be nice and she'd be my main mage...replacing 6* Rinoa. Lenneth's doesn't seem worth it, but Vincent's would be nice as well. I wish I had another Cloud so I could get his and give it to Lenneth. Outside of that, there are a ton of other options and I'm a bit overwhelmed right now. Any ideas?

Not when you need like 30 million XP to level a unit, lol. It's a problem unto itself!
Luck has a nice way of coming around so yeah, I've had some good luck when I don't spend and sometimes when I do. It hates and blesses everyone.
If you have raid coins from the VP raid, there's a fusion rate up today that you can take advantage of. It takes time but individually fusing the cactuars into each other increases the XP a lot. It just takes a lot of time.
A, B, and C cactaurs
A -> B, B -> C and so on so forth to take advantage of fusion rates. =o
I used all of the cactaur I had from the Valkyrie Profile raid to level Freya and Tidus. I had a few saved up in case I got some new units with the FFVII banner ended up with Vincent and used what I had saved up to get him to 100. Got Lenneth to 117, but now I'm all out of cactaur and in serious need of EXP for some characters. I might have to burn some NRG pots and run dunes, but that's so hit or miss.

Man, I didn't realize that the success bonus ended on Monday (JP time) so I wasn't able to maximize the successes on Freya and Vincent. Oh well, I'll just have to do this slowly as the weeks go on. Heh, they really need to add good ways to level up characters now that they take millions and millions of EXP to level.
I also hope the next banner isn't cool so I can save resources and avoid pulling. I can't even level up the guys I have. Heh, heh.

Woke up and started up GL right away. In my half asleep grog, I go to the summon tab and begin a summon. Comes down blue and bemoan it'll be crap. Goes to Gold. Okay, cool, but still no Rainbow. Haha. Then it goes to Rainbow. Time to sweat. Shit got real, real fast. Crack it open and... Sakura! Well... that was unexpected. That was an amazing free pull. Back out of summon tab... why am I not on second tab? LOL, come to find out it wasn't my free daily. Was a half daily, which I hadn't done in forever. It paid off I guess, doing it half asleep. Because I wouldn't have done that on my own. Went and did free summon and got exactly as I expected. Blue crap. (Ludmille)

Yeah sorry to break the streak lol. I was on a good rainbow run recently.
I don't know when I will get around to farming a 2nd Excal. I hoarded so many resources for Cloud and went through 100,000 lapis before I pulled him (all saved over the prior year). But I got a ton of other 5 star base during that crazy day, Im busy working on Knight Delita, Crowe, VOL, Noctis, and Gilg TMR right now.

Hate the story events. Last time I did it for the family story. Turns out I liked the characters... until I see how they acted. x_x But finished that one for story.
This one was tempted to pass. The crysts they are giving out in it are trash, because I need Power or bust. I was two Power Giancrysts short. I had to power through the whole story just to get the two available within the achievement things. Didn't even read Sakura's stuff. Now though, finally finished Orlandu's ability enhancements. Got him +2 Divine Ruination, so he is completely done. Woot. Though, once I found out there was a Hammer Mastery in this story, I figured I had to at least go that far in anyway. :/ Gotta have it. But finished it earlier this evening. The whole thing. Accidentally killed last boss too quick for Esper kill. Oops. >_<

I feel you on these story events. I've enjoyed a few, but it's rare. I usually start hating it right around the last 2 stages and especially if there's an esper kill mission. It sounds like this one def has one.
I still haven't touched the story event yet, but I usually give it a week to make sure any mission bugs are fixed so I don't have to do any of them twice, lol.
Chinese New Year stuff is up. New units look meh for now, until we see their full skillset. Once again Gumi hits us with the limited time double 5* banner.
