The only great claim I can post about my setup is that it's in the living room. NO office, no basement, no bedroom, no 'man cave', the center of my house IS the game room. At my house (I am married btw) a tv is for playing video games, watching a movie or tv show/etc. is a vastly inferior secondary function.

I'm looking for a new TV. I sit about 10-11 feet back from Tv. Your not too much farther than me. I have a 40 now and was going to get a 55. Do you think I'll regret it? I could go 65 but that means less quality to keep budget the same.
Depends. 55 inch oled vs 65 inch good led tv? For me it's obvious. Oled represents much better picture quality which I value most.

well it depends on what you mean by less quality...Vizio is pretty good 55 is still too small man.. Mininum should be 65 and greatness should be 75 inch .. Man you will never go back .. Seriously, I'll post my shot soon..

Well I would like low input lag HDR 4k and 65 inch for around 600. The tcl 405 seems to be the only thing close. Does Vizio have one that fits that?

you need to be more specific on the input lagmeasurement.
The vizio p series has 5 hdmi . HDMI 1 through 4 has higher Input lag BUT WITH HDR support on those port. The HDMI 5 is the only that doesn't not support HDR but with has one of the LOWEST lag supported by TV in 4k variants (with GAME MODE selected).
[HDMI 1 through 4 -with HDR support]
-------------------------------------------
4k @ 60Hz + HDR : 52.5 ms
1080p @ 60Hz + HDR : 54.4 ms

[HDMI 5 -No HDR support + Game Mode]
----------------------------------------------
4k @ 60Hz : 15.9 ms
1080p @ 60Hz : 15.9 ms

In general the TV also supports 1080p @ 120 Hz : 10.9 ms.

Those input lag from HDM1 - 4 are ok for casual couch gaming.. But for more competitive gaming , THen HDMI 5 is up there . The only sacrifice is not HDR support.

Hey guys, I know this is a "Show your set-up" thread but I have some questions about throwing together a small work set-up.

So basically, I have a lot of freedom at work (basically sit in a control room and wait for alarms that never come on lol)
Last year I bought a 32" 1080p TV at Walmart and was bringing it in every night to play my PS4. Well, it got a little bit "wierd" lugging a TV back and forth to my trunk every night.

So, with the release of Monster Hunter i've been playing PS4 hardcore again and missing it when I'm at work.
So, tomorrow I'm buying a PS4 Pro finally for home...and taken my old home PS4 and leaving it in my desk lol

So..2 questions..

Whats the smallest size 1080p Tv/Monitor I could whip out at work and pop on my desk that wont look like garbage? I figure 19/20" will be to small and as I said 32" was just TO BIG to lug around every night (and to big to fit in my locker/Desk lol)

And second questions, whats the best way for me to be playing MH at home on a Wed morning at 10am at home then 6pm at work on my work set-up using the same save?
Can I just transfer my home save file to the cloud, DL it at work and vice versa? Is it that easy to keep going back and forth from home and work with my same account?

Thanks guys!

I also have a setup at work and I use the PS+ Cloud save feature to continue where I left off. It’s so handy!

If I know I’ll be playing a game regularly between home and work, then I tend to buy the digital version so I don’t have to keep bringing the disc in and I can download it to all systems.

This is my ikkle work setup:

Where did that PSTV stand come from?

Man... my second most lurked in thread is back and this time i can post... well... time to clean up my living room, I guess.

To all previous Posters (if goddamn millionaires or little cozy gaming corners), be aware of my pure envy over your nice setups!

Been following these setup threads for years. So many great set ups. Just built a new house and struggling to set up my gaming area. Will be in the upstairs loft (which has limited space of 9'7" x 10'10"). I love the sleek modern sterile look but struggling to come up with something nice. Will have to upload pictures but so far I have:

65" LG B7A (debating on wall mounting)
PS4 PRO
XBOX ONE X

all hidden wires and hidden consoles within the Ikea Besta unit in gloss white(mounted on the wall few inches off ground for floating look)
Gray sectional
Gloss white end table (need lamp or something still)

Just bought a small fake plant for some color yesterday, need art work and pillows for the couch, paint the walls etc. In my opinion its no where sleek as the end goal. For all of you who have super sleek clean sterile setups where you draw your design ideas from? Google searching shows me a bunch of junk, a cluttered mess, or multi million dollar homes that I can not afford lol.

I took my 27" monitor into few months long delegation and would say that's maximum of comfortable travel by car. If you are going to do it daily then 22-23" would probably be better.

But to be honest I would rather just take vita/switch and play something else during those hours.

I decorated and designed my main setup back in 2007 (can’t believe it’s been 11 years!) but when creating it my main goal was to do something original, minimal, and also something that would age well as I find decorating year after year a right pain in the crack lol.

My main inspiration was from sci-fi flicks. For me, less is more, so I don’t believe in hanging pictures everywhere to fill wall spaces or having plants in every corner of the room. Do what you feel comfortable with.

As for reference, this is my main room/setup. As I say, I did this over 10 years ago now and it’s due for a change where I’ll probably go with darker colours, but I’m still happy with it. (Full kit list and other pics can be found here on my Blu-ray.com gallery)

Wow! This is probably one of the best freakin' rooms I've seen. I'm currently thinking of a layout for my small living room - your layout kinda reaffirms my belief that a center table is not really necessary.

I looked through your link yesterday and I LOVE your style and set up. My house, even though just built brand new doesn't mimic that style so it would be impossible for me to imitate unless I spend a boat load of money to gut it. However I agree with the less is more. Sadly the wife and I have different tastes and we all know who wins lol.

However I do get full control of my loft but its not a huge area. I am just struggling to achieve the look I want. I don't even know where to begin to look for pieces. I, like you, love that sci-fi futuristic type of look.

Thanks ABeezy!

You could try Googling contemporary or modern furniture and see what the results show up for inspiration? Here in the UK we have a few retailers that sell decent enough pieces that won’t destroy the bank account such as Dwell.co.uk Made.com and Quatropi.com

There are many retailers that offer designer pieces but I find the prices ludicrous, where you’re paying £5k just for an upright chair. :/

If you’re feeling brave you could always enlist the help of a local carpenter/joiner to create something for you or realise an idea you might have? We got a local timber merchant to cut our MDF wall panels and then painted and hung them ourselves for example.

Maybe watch a few sci-fi flicks with neat set design/interior design and try to incorporate that into your loft space?

I love the clean look of everything, and the bright orange to help make some colours pop. Was thinking of doing something similar once I move to grad school (as I love the clean white/sterile look). Though I have to ask - have you ever slipped on the floor? That floor looks like it would be painful with socks.

Note this appears to be images from a PlayStation Home setup and therefore your avatar will not slip on the floor :p haha

I think I went arse over tit on it once, but only because I was completely off my face playing Singstar! o_O

Just my humble little game room ;)

A bit off topic but I am impressed by the fact that you managed to keep all that stuff to this day. Some of the stuff there are pretty old so I am assuming you carried the whole room whenever you moved since your childhood or teen years.

Awesome setups! I'm going to take pictures of mine soon aswell.

One thing I can't seem to get over, is the battle with myself whether I shall plug in my ps4, xbox and switch to my monitors. I keep changing back and forth with my 55 4k tv and my pc monitors. Sometimes I just like having everything on one and the same place haha. I got huge problems hahaha!

Always love looking at people's mod the switch/joycon but never had the courage to do one just yet. How does one gets his/her hand to do this? Is there a "for dummies" guide?

Basstop sells their products on amazon. They are even part of amazon prime.

As for guides, there are some very useful "how to" on youtube (i used ign's quick and to the point video.)

If its something you feel paranoid about, i recommend starting with a used pair of joycons and not your mains as a "just in case"

Get the Sony PlayStation 3D monitor. It sounds perfect for your situation, 24" 1080p and made for PlayStation hardware. Newegg's got them Manufacturer Refurbished for $115, basically new.

Been lurking in these threads for sometime getting inspiration for a gamesroom (building a new house right now). Have lots of inspiration and can not wait to share pics with you all in late Summer. Question for anyone running a projector setup. I’m thinking of going with an optoma uhd60 4K projector. Anyone else with this unit that can advise of the pros and cons?

I'm torned between moving my pc to my Tv and just use that as a monitor, but I just keep changing it back and forth between the Tv and the monitors. I like playing competitive games on the pc so that part of me wants to play on monitors. But a part of me also wants to enjoy the 4k gaming on my 4k tv. I know it sound weird, but what solution are guys having? How do you play your pc games? Sorry for the bad quality pictures and weird questions.
