Metro Exodus's script is "twice the size of Metro: Last Light, Metro: 2033, and all the DLC combined." That's according to John Bloch, executive producer at developer 4A Games, with whom we spoke at this year's E3.

The Xbox One X is going to allow us to do some things that I’m not sure we would be able to do on other hardware. So, for instance, we’re running in native 4K on the Xbox One X, and support HDR as well. Apparently, according to Beynon, the demo level we played at E3 itself is twenty times as large as the largest level from Last Light, the previous game. What’s even more interesting is that that is not even going to be the biggest level in the game.

“Significantly bigger,” he said when we asked him about the game’s map size. “I think the largest level from the previous game, Metro Last Light, was 200 by 200 meters. The one you played today was 20 times the size. And that’s not even our biggest level.”

Man I'm so unreasonably hyped for this game. I love the Metro series and I feel this has Witcher 3 potential to catapult 4A Games to the upper echelon of game devs. Yeah like I said, probably unreasonable expectations, but the game just looks too bad ass.

Had a feeling as next spring is just PACKED and I didn't see me buying this game instead of KH3, DMC5, Resident Evil 2, Anthem etc.

Agreed and I think its a good call. Folks got mad when BF4 launched with bugs, then got mad BF Hardline was delayed to avoid it, but also got mad when TF2 was wedged between COD and BF1 lol

So I think pulling a EA in this respect is good, even if folks overreact as its better to have it more complete and with less competition. Sounds crazy but even I wasn't buying this game knowing everything that is coming around that time. Most times I have a ballpark idea of what I'll be playing for the next few months and just didn't see much time for it. Now.....who knows. They release in summer when I'm done with Springs massive line up, I'll be game for a day 1 buy if I replay the first 2 and get da feels for it again lol

For some reason I forgot next year was 2019 and when I read the title I thought it had been delayed a year further. Credit to them for the initial delay. Many publishers would have released it anyway for the holidays to try and cash in on Christmas sales. I loved the first games so can't wait to get this.
