[RUMOR] Major Pokémon Switch Details Leaked, Reveal Coming This Month

They are objectively NOT making lots of money off of GO. If they were (even in a non-traditional sense, whatever that means), then they wouldn't have told their investors, "Hey guys, this game is literally affecting our financial outlook in no positive way-- sorry about the confusion!"

If they release their own Switch game, then maybe they could get some conversion from GO players to Switch version, but only if the Switch version stands out on its own and is a major improvement over the mobile version.

What?

I hope they deliver goods!

Yikes. This is the shocking announcement ? And this Pokemon Quest is form Switch and Smartphones ? That was shocking.

So the event was only about this ? Like : "Hey, we are working on Pokrmon for Switch, but now I want to announce this, Pokemon Quest ".

For some reason it remembered me of cubivore, back on Game Cube days.

Well, the art style is nice and clean. Looks unambitious in the traditional sense, but they're trying something new with connectivity so... yay I guess. I can't help but feel that Go is going to be an albatross around this thing's neck rather than a sales booster. It will still sell bucketloads though, the Pokemon games always do.

This isn't a game from the core series it turns out.

Wait, what? Ooooooh. You done got me all hyped again. Maybe we will see that ambitious, Zelda-scale (not style) Pokemon I've been dreaming of.

Yo this looks horrible. Is their barely any battling in the game?

Thank goodness we are getting a new generation and hopefully traditional Pokemon in 2019.

I edited the first post to people see just what matters.

Pokémon is back and it's better than ever, babyyyyyyy

Oh, well, if it's not a mainline Pokémon game, that changes things quite a bit. This doesn't look like the kind of experience I'd be interested in, but it might turn out great for those who're still into Pokémon Go and want a more fleshed-out experience like that.

Okay Game Freak, I apologize - this looks great! No so interested in Quest, but the rest looks awesome!

So it's just Pokemon Go but for Switch? I don't get it :(
It's just a remake of Yellow. The only thing it lifts from Pokemon Go are the timed pokeball throws. You can also link it up with Pokemon Go for some mystery gift crap that is non-essential to the game. Really nothing to worry about if you like traditional Pokemon.

EDIT: I was wrong. Lifts a little more than that from Go, namely, battles against wild Pokemon are now out. Gross.

Not a new generation yet, but there is no reason to expect anything good from new generations anyways. Both 6 and 7 were disappointing at best.

The graphics look pretty.

So basically a Yellow remake with some Pokémon go features.

Looks decent I guess but between the original game, Gold/Silver and the GBA remakes I'm just not too excited to go back to Kanto for a forth time.

Would pick up on a sale for $30 but it's Nintendo so I guess I'll just skip it.
At least they confirmed they are making a new mainline game for next year and hey, at least it's not yet another WiiU port.

So pokemon yellow + go.

My shitty location with no pokestops is ready

Jk, but im intrigued. Im skeptical about all wild battles just being go moments with trainers being battles. How am i supposed to grind that way?

At first it looked good and I was happy about it, but the more news I've been reading the more I lose interest. Not having battles against wild Pokemon and no online features is really disappointing.

Wait so reading more on it:

You can't fight wild Pokémon, only other trainers.
It won't have any online features

Yeah no thx.

Also, not having online features in a new pokemon game that launches around the same time as their paid online service is the most Nintendo design design decision ever

Are you serious? Ugh.

Care to link me?

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw it on IGN. Ugh. What were they thinking? I guess it says it right there--they wanted to simplify it for kids, because Pokemon was too hard for them or something.

I don't think they understand why Pokemon GO was so popular. You could just download the app for free and play around on your mobile phone. No casual is gonna buy a 350 euro console to play a casual Pokemon game. And back to Gen 1 again, sigh. As someone who has played every single generation, gen 1 Pokemon bore me to tears.

I have zero interest in this and I'll be waiting for the hopefully proper Pokemon game that's coming out in 2019.

Notice the attacks it shows have 4 attacks you select. And you can sync Pokemon(gen1) with Pokemon go. Does that mean 4 attacks are being added to GO?

I'm not buying this. I only play GO cuz it gives me an excuse to walk around in the hot ass day.

Hey guys let me show you my pokemons!

After watching this trailer... Someone at Nintendo really wants to see those TVs smashed with the pokeball controller...

OT: I hope GO! Integration is optional and you still can get all the Pokémon without it. If not then sorry. I don't have the time to travel around the world to catch some legendary Pokemon..

Oh so they delayed the next Pokémon game to 2019? Thats a pity but did we need so much buildup for something so small?

Because thats the only thing announced today, right? It's not that my brain has blocked some info that could break my heart, right? Right?

Hello darkness my old friend...

You dont need go, its just a companion app for it so you may not get all features like the GO park, but everything else is optional from the looks of it
