Oooh new thread!

Looking forward to Fastlane to see Wrestlemania take shape a bit more and of course NJPW Strong Style Evolved after promising myself I'd try to watch more NJPW after Wrestle Kingdom 12 I failed to watch more NJPW after Wrestle Kingdom 12

Lucha Underground season 4. It's the only wrestling I've watched in about 10 years or so. I love it. They have great characters (Drago!) great storylines and great wrestling. I wouldn't change anything about it other than maybe bring in more traditional luchadors.

I keep meaning to watch season 1 but haven't got round to it ever

I hope Undertaker returns with the biker gimmick. That would be awesome. Maybe he just retired the Deadman gimmick at last Wrestlemania.

Kid Rock is going in the hall of fame so perhaps we'll get American Badass
I think its a virtual certainty that KR will play a live version of the song during his entrance. Actually looking forward to it more than the match. Hopefully he comes out tonight to respond to Cena and build something to look forward to beyond the entrance.

Just saw this today and thought I'd share it. An interesting watch and useful if you need an in-depth explanation to other people why you enjoy watching pro wrestling. Also note the Tekken 4 music at 15:00.

Alexa Bliss has to win the money in the bank. Anyone else would be a huge mistake. 1-12 months of Alexa teasing a cash in would be gold and keep her in the mix while they give more spotlight to other women.

Did you all see Enzo Amore and the rap video he made on WSHH? He 'buried' any chance of coming back to the WWE. It was hilarious.

It reminded me of a movie I was rented called ankle biters. Dwarf sized vampires. Couldn't look away despite how bad it was.

On a different topic, what the hell is going on with the Universal Championship? I am a big fan of Brock and his title run, but I saw a rumor he may not defend until Summerslam. Seth is doing great as IC champ, but the UC belt needs to show up on Raw at least a couple times a month.

I think Brock being an absent champ is hurting the title. The IC title is where tha action is at on RAW.

Did you all watch the Buddy vs Cedric match on 205 live? It was fucking amazing. And they were given like 40 min. Great match. I have been watching NXT and 205 much more religiously than Raw or Smackdown.

No, I don't pay 205 or NXT much attention. I've been to one NXT show last winter which was great, but not enough time to keep up with NXT or 205.

I think the writing of stories and in ring action are actually better than the main roster. You should at least try and watch the NXT Chicago Takeover PPV. Ricochet and The Velveteen Dream match may be my match of the year. And the Undisputed Era along with War Raiders are taking over the tag division. It's been amazing. I'm like the opposite. I can't devote 5 hours to the main shows every week. But 2 hours is just right for me not to get burnt out. I do watch all the PPVs and NJPW so it can be a lot.

See I can when you can DVR the main shows. You can’t DVR NXT or 205 Live which is the main reason I don’t tune into those anymore.

Kota or ZSJ, maybe Tanahashi

ZSJ is an interesting pick. He's really stepped things up recently and I really enjoyed his New Japan Cup run. I don't see him winning G1 but certainly wouldn't object to it. Also, I met him at a show recently and he was really cool.

I can't see Tanahashi winning it. The man's broken. He needs years off.

I'm only half joking when I say that Yano has been one of the best guys in G1 so far. I loved his match with Ibushi.

Can’t believe they squashed KO like that, Girls match was alright Becky turning on Charolette was good and so was taking the title from Mella. AJ and Daniel Bryan were both good matches with bullshit finishes. Elias was a waste of time as always.

Yeah they made us all think Braun was gonna cash in to make people stay in the arena for the main event. Becky should have done this like 2 years ago IMO. But I also like 'Mella so hehe. Yeah a few good matches ruined by some bad parts. Overall... NXT Takeover >>>> SummerSlam

Shame you don't walk with Elias. He's a legit multi-talented star.

Bliss got hosed.

Anyone watch All In?

Signed up for NJPW world to watch this. Great show IMO. Matches were all pretty entertaining, and every EVERY performer looked good in the end. Did nothing to make people look pathetic the way that so many of the Summerslam matches did last month. I was worried when I saw it was 4 hours and planned to watch half this morning and half tonight, ended up sitting through the whole match. Only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the postmatch Hangman stuff, mainly cause I'm not a fan of
Joey Ryan and the penis stuff
. Otherwise well worth peoples time for sure

I really enjoyed the variety of the show. It's a pity the main event had to be cut short because of time constraints, but it was still spectacular. The surprise with
Jericho's appearance
was a nice twist.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the thing you mentioned either, I don't watch Being The Elite so that stuff comes across to me as a little too inside joke for me, there was a part of me that enjoyed the sheer ridiculousness of it though.

I'm curious to see what those guys do next.

I missed "Zero Hour" where can I watch that? Saw all the main show but saved the last two matches for tonight. All I can say is congratulations to the YB and crew. Fantastic show, indy or not. That Omega match and all those head drops had me like :lollipop_thescream:

Even though I hate to post rubbish from the other site I couldn't resist this absolute gem of stupidity.

Kairi's pirate gimmick is actually lame for real, though. Like super embarrassing. I get that some of Kairi's fanbase might not think so because they love far worse stuff in some of the anime and japanese girl groups that are their cultural homes, but for anyone outside of that zone where you are blind to lameness, the pirate gimmick is only creating a barrier to enjoying Kairi. It's not goofy lame, where you can just say let's go on this dumb ride, like Strowman I guess for example has been, it's just...I dunno, an embarassing gimmick both for her and the people watching her. Hard to fully explain, you either see it or you don't.

Sorry if I'm being a little rude to the Kairi fans but I think the fetishisation of her is going a bit too far when people refuse to even admit the pirate gimmick absolutely sucks, unless you're a small child, in which case anchors away.

Apparently Kair Hojo's pirate princess gimmick is a step too far in an entertainment medium filled with wacky characters such as a bloke who is apparently undead and occasionally would ride around on a motorbike. This Undead Motorbike Bloke also has a 'brother' he attempted to murder via arson but was unsuccessful. The brother's face was badly burned due to this incident so he became a professional wrestler which would allow him to confront Undead Motorbike Bloke in the ring instead of having him arrested like a normal person would. As it later transpired, Burned Face Brother wasn't even burned in the fire, he just had some light makeup applied to his face.

But Kairi's pirate princess gimmick, nah, that's where this poster draws the line. It's far too daft for wrestling. Also note that liking her apparently means you fetishise her because you are a disgusting, perverted male who enjoys otaku culture. Not because you enjoy seeing a performer capable of wrestling and engaging with the fans.

Renee Young is now a full time member of the Raw announce team. Coach has been bumped to the pre-PPV show.
I'd rather neither of them be on commentary to be completely honest. Renee has never done it for me, whether it was as a personality on The Score here in Canada or on NXT. Not a fan in the slightest.

I didn't think Renee was that great last week on Raw, she did a few annoying things. She's still better than Coach though.

I haven't tuned in for a couple of weeks for the WWE product, but have never enjoyed Renee in her brief other stints on commentary. BUT Coach somehow hit Otunga/JBL levels of awful commentator to me. Maybe it would have been a solid time to go back to a two man booth for the time being. BUT WOMEN'S REVOLUTION!!!!!

They are morons. She is literally an Olympic level sailor. It's not something that's just out of nowhere. Those people are brain dead.

Matt Hardy has announced his retirement. Maybe.

Good for him. He’s worked for a long long time, had some fun and did more then likely he ever imagined. It’s really a shame that the WWE didn’t fully embrace the Broken character more cause wrestling really does need some just wtf stuff in between all the boring serious stuff. Wish him the best, he’s looked really rough this last year, he can make a difference behind the scenes for sure, maybe performance center
