Regarding Claire:

The team had quite a bit of discussion on how to design her new look, and how much of it should retain her appearance from the original PlayStation Resident Evil 2. Ultimately, the team decided on an appearance that would line up with the iconic scene of Claire entering Raccoon City on her motorcycle. The team is extremely happy with her final design, and hope you all enjoy it as well!

The package itself looks really good although $200 is too rich for my blood. I'm glad this exists though, I know a lot of people are huge Resident Evil fans and will love this.

Yeah, I'll probably bite the bullet for this, the Leon figure is too tempting (although I would have definitely have preferred a statue of Leon and Claire together). Though come on, $200 and the soundtrack is DIGITAL? I love collecting physical OSTs for video games, movies, anime, etc. so I would have loved to have a physical RE 2 OST but oh well (related note: at my job earlier this week, I work for a delivery company, a loose item was coming down the belt, it was a Nier: Automata Piano Collections CD! I hope whoever ordered it got it, they have good taste)

I love collecting these editions but $200 is a bit out of my range now (especially since I ordered the SoulCalibur VI CE). That Leon statue is tempting, though. I'm still not liking Claires look in the promotional material, but I am liking her look from what I have seen in game. Weird. Leon looks awesome! So glad there are alternate costumes! Now I want to see Ada!

No, online orders are not charged at all until it is shipped. Though I am excited for this... it being a GS exclusive sucks. I wanted to use my GCU as much as possible until it expired.

I was expecting 150 max. Besides the game, all you're really getting is the statuette (which does honesty look really good), the rest is just digital stuff and paper. And you can get all of that digital stuff with the deluxe edition on it's own. So really, is the statuette really worth that extra 100-140? Maybe? Probably not?

Also, CE's really need to stop selling the fucking box their sold in as a feature, especially when they're just cardboard. The RE6 CE was amazing in how shoddy the box they hyped up was, it was the thinnest, throw away cardboard imaginable yet Capcom still listed it as a feature.

I like how there is tons of ads on Gamestop site saying free shipping on orders over $35 but when you checkout with this your greeted to a $12 shipping minimum for 4-7 day shipping. Gamestop, your dead in the water if you don't change. I was ready to pay the $215 after tax for this but with this shady business practices ill just pass and pick the statue up later on ebay and grab the deluxe off amazon. Seriously gamestop has always been a joke. $25 for day one shipping GTFO here.

Yeah that price is a bit high and it's also coming out in the same month as Kingdom Hearts 3, so budgeting for this and another game is a bit much.

It's a very cool statue, but it's like with Final Fantasy XV. I don't have to have it for that price. I'll absolutely buy a physical/digital copy. I'd get this if some games got delayed and I had extra cash.

I love this whole remake project. It's cool and all, but $200 is a bit much. Especially after it feels like this game was a bit of a casting audition. I don't exactly have that same vibe from the PS1 game yet. I know it will, but right now it's all about those two actors and what they look like.

In fact I still remember my Super Metroid collectors edition which had a larger box and a guide... Christ knows how much that’s worth now...

I would settle though for just a tin and a manual. Yeah a damn book. Give me something to read while the games installing and I’m takkng a dump. You were supposed to be removing those to save money... We didn’t see that saving.

But GameStop are like Game in the uk. You would have to be a total idiot to buy there, unless you REALLY had no other choice. But even then, the games are at least £20 more expensive.

RE2 was great, I remember renting it back in the day with friends and working through it as a group over a weekend. I really liked the CE for RE7 too, admittedly I lucked out, walked in and found one that someone never picked up, I thought the music box house was creepy and loved it, so I traded in my special edition towards it which was pretty much brand new and it turned out to be one of the greatest pickups for me as now I'm re-playing it in VR and love the story. From the footage I've seen of RE2 they've really nailed that suspenseful feel like in RE7 with the visuals even tho its an over the shoulder view and sadly no VR.

I broke down and ordered one before they sold out, so I still have the option to keep my order or not. Could cancel anytime. Deluxe edition on amazon was already $75 since it doesn't qualify for the 20% discount. Still have like 6 months do decide.
