Will you be buying Fallout 76?

Discuss why or why not.

If it was at least like the Elder Scrolls Online I would probably get it on sale but no NPC's and no Story=no buy for me.

Not at launch. Maybe not ever.
Deep Enigma posted a video today that explained a lot of whacky things happening in the game already and we are only weeks from release.

It doesn’t seem to provide a worthwhile sense of purpose to me, either.

it really depends. If they allow client side mods, then i might pick it up at 10$.

But really its a no for me at anything greater than 10$

No, because I don't really know what it is, other than not a traditional Bethesda Fallout. I was never a huge fan of the franchise anyway. I much prefer TES.

Most likely not . I've watched a lot of streams and videos on it and it just doesn't look fun . I'm not even sure what it's supposed to be ..

Maybe when its like $10 (so 3 months after launch:messenger_beaming:), but i'm really struggling to get excited for this empty world with no npc's.

Not at all.

Watched some YT impressions on the game and it looks like an early access shitty steam game.

Not sure if I'm buying at all, Fallout games play pretty crap on consoles, at least on the PS4. In the past I've given Fallout games a pass for their story, but I'm getting pretty sick and tired of the poor console performance.

I make and use mods so yes I bought it. Don't like the MP only push currently. Hopefully it isn't a year from now when they officially allow it, because I doubt I'll play that much until mods. Looking at the data files I'm sure there will be a way to mod it without Bethesda support.

Nope. I was all up for it until I saw what a pile of garbage it is. My money's going on Hitman 2 which will be superior in every possible way

I really like Fallout and the aesthetics Bethesda has brought to the franchise. I have Fallout 76 preordered and I'm going to play it.

*I have a handful of Fallout mechandise. E.g.: bobble heads, mugs and t-shirts.

I'd love a traditional Fallout. I just want to see West Virginia and all its folklore.

The Bethesda version of that song butchered the John Denver classic.

They must have lost the rights to the song or something. Their YouTube version doesn't live up to John Denver's.

Was hyped when it was announced, but the more I've seen I'm sure I'm just going to be picking up Hitman 2 this month. I've been torn being a huge fallout fan going back to pc fallout in the 90s. I even liked 4.

Can't say I will, watched some streams of the beta and I was just looking on all....

Hell no, easiest vote cast with wallet ever.

Looks like crap, runs like crap, plays like crap. Don't tell Bethesda that you'll buy any shit they shovel into a box as long as it has Fallout on the cover.

Don't send that message.

Should have done a poll OP.

Nope, no interest whatsoever. I enjoyed F3 and NV, but I thought 4 was terrible, and this just isn't the type of game I want to play at all.

Yep. Was expecting to be disappointed but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my time with the beta so far, warts and all. And like any "live service" game, it's got a long road ahead of it so here's hoping it gets even better with time.

Hell no. Don't do mp and even if it was a 'normal' Fallout game from Beth, it would still be a bastardization like their other turds.

No. I love the Fallout games but I'm not that into online games and no NPCs makes it something that I don't think I'll enjoy.

No. Looks like the same shit that Bethesda has been putting out the last 5 years, only worse. Buggier than ever and the game is surpassed by so many other franchises if you want an open world experience.

Not at launch. I'll probably see how all of this pans out. Right now just seeing the various beta gameplay that's out there, this seems like this is a mess. More than a beta this seems like an alpha.

not sure how they will release this game on time but hooo boy I will look forward to the memes

I have zero interest but I’m getting it free from a friend. My son wants to play it so saves me the money. I didn’t even enjoy Fallout 4.

I used to be a big Fallout fan.

Fallout 4 changed that. Never touching a Fallout game ever again. I'm completely done with the concept.

Not really interested. I hated FO4. So ...

And the news about it releasing with lots of bugs doesn't sound good either.

I got into beta by invite code, the world is so empty without npcs. why they decided no npcs makes no sense unless there was limitations to the engine.

I felt world and atmosphere were spot on. It was the story that was total shit. Man i could totally write a better story than that (on my lunch break in the car, eating a cheeseburger)

Big ole nope.

I'm all about that single player experience. I'm finding myself getting more and more into retro gaming because of it.

lol agreed.

The main story was trash, but I've never even played that series for its main story. Its like 13 hours main story annnnnnnd 100 hours cool side quest lol

I would NEVER buy a Fallout game for that purpose as they never really had that good of main stories to really spend so much stock on, side quest and atmosphere I'd argue is what I play it for 99.9% of the time.

No, because I'm a Fallout fan and also beause i value my gaming experience.

Buying Fallout 76 just give a go to Bethesda for even more incoming scammy and cheap games.

Here more gameplay preview, explaination and why you have nothing to expect from Fallout 76, you are now aware of what the game is.

I won’t say never because I would like an online fallout game with persistent community building, but I don’t really expect that will ever happen with this game from what I’ve heard. Haven’t heard anything that made me excited for this game to date, so definitely not anytime soon.

Not really, they even said they are still doing single player fallout games, JUST like ESO exist an they are doing Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield.

It was never a replacement for the SP Fallout games....
