I was unhappy about his actions in that regard and discussed it sufficiently to get banned here over it. From my perspective: No. The minor voice acting job of that Youtuber should just have been ignored. The aggressive behaviour against the developers in that case lead to a marketing disaster that probably hurt the sales of one of my two favourite games the last three years.

It's not about who you like, it's how far you deviate from the core of the hive. The farther you go the more horrible you are. Some guy liked Ben Carson which immediately made him "not likely a black person as he only is liked by white racists" and when he said Ben arson has done more for Blacks than Kapernick and posted actual lengthy post of evidence the post was removed and he was banned for being racist.
Not a single white person was discussed in the argument but he was banned for being racist. By saying Ben Carson, who has given money and opened schools, did more than a Football player who has 5x the cash of carson and has done nothing but help the media find a new trend to jump on.
Oh and if you are a new member never have a neutral stance in a thread. Just either avoid the thread or pretend to agree. If you post a neutral post in an argument or a hive mind thread and you aren't banned but called out, immediately respond taking back your neutral stance. If you don't post but a few times every other day check your notification because if someone in the thread calls you out and you don't respond in a few hours and a mod notices you'll be banned.

Except they only blamed it on one side. Which is a dangerous mindset that makes it hard for them to see why their party is splitting 4 different ways and finding out what their doing wrong.
Generally the issue there is that their side never does anything wrong to them. The reasons there's issue is because of everyone else outside of that. This of course leads to inevitable conclusions and aggression.
Also now that I think about it, I know they side with the democrats but their ideology seems to be on some radical side. They don't like traditional democrats, they don't like, generally, the green parties.
And don't get them started on third parties, dude said if you vote third party you might as well be a racist because you voted for Trump and that was something they did here before the move.

No see this don't work. The two both do it, one does it to a far more dangerous degree than the other, and many recent events have shown what happens if the bubble mind becomes an inescapable prison.
Usually all other sides, including third parties, will adjust or start doing some observations after losing or thing don't go as planned. Then they change or remove people who are issues. Era and the far radical end of politics don't do this.
One thing you have to realize is era aren't democrats. They have proven this multiple times, they don't even agree with a 3rd of the parties platform just the parts that the media is making into controversies. Otherwise they seem to be in this radical bubble. They don't like Bernie so they aren't really socialist democrats, though a chunk of the community is. So i'm not sure what they are.
One independent media outlet in 2017 reportedly mentioned Era was the opposite stormfront. I always found that comparison interesting.

IIRC, Opiate wasn't a pedo, just a strange pedo defender. He told a poster who was talking about being molested as a child and how it hurt her that her testimony could cause innocent pedophiles to be hurt, or something along those lines. Basically called her a fearmonger, then banned her.

For people who have issues with being approched by strangers: There is no correct way, if you do not know them from other contexts, do not approach them, end of story.
On a related note: I have been a victim of being approached (non sexually) by a stranger on a bus about playing Crash Bandicoot on the Switch just today. She talked a bit about video games with me and how she was playing Diablo with her so on PC. Nothing bad happened to me, nor did I feel bad about it, so it might not actually be a dangerous situation.
