This is a massive performance improvement over the initial release! At a glance it appears to be a 40-60% FPS improvement, which is massive considering this is coming less than a month after the initial DXR update.

RTX 2070 is outperforming 2080 Ti initial results!!!

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
Cool. What about the weird pop in and pixelated objects as seen in the DF video, have those been enhanced?

nice. I might buy a second copy of this for PC, waiting until Sony and MS announce their systems before I plan a new PC build.

Reading all the tech gymnastics they are doing, and some people thought it was gonna make devs life easier lol.

2070 new results outperforming the 2080 Ti old results is simply amazing.
RTX 2070 seems viable for ray-tracing support now, which was questionable a few days ago. I never doubted it though as it has ~80% the RT cores of the 2080.

Graphics quality seems the same as well after the latest patch.

We couldn't spot any visual downgrades between RTX in the previous version and today's update. Rather, it seems DICE and NVIDIA worked on doing things "smarter", which is always the better alternative to solving a problem than "throwing more hardware at it".

You wont be able to buy a 2nd gand copy for PC since all copies are linked to your Origin account.

As someone looking to build a new gaming rig this month, those 2070 numbers are looking mighty fine.

Looks pretty good! Seems RTX is very viable at 1440p or upscaled 4K.

Next gen consoles in 2020 without some form of RTX, their games will look kinda dated vs 2nd gen RTX cards...hmmmmm

They are retrofitting an engine for this and not building one from the ground up so this isn’t unexpected.

They are just wrestling with the rtx middleware itself, actual good engines are middleware friendly. But this is a very high framerate game, it will be interesting to see how others (like the tomb raider guys) manage to smuggle the middleware render time into their stuff.

It's definietly better but difference is not mindblowing.

Edit: They also reduced quality of DXR LOW

We still have dlss to come? Those tensor cores are idling or not?

If 2080ti can play 1440p upscale to 60fps with all rtx features on, it will prove Nvidia right though.

DLSS will likely cut down DXR performance. In FFXV demo tensors are only used for DLSS.

DF vid on the update. Seems the quality has increased in some areas while also performing better.

Great result for RTX in the first game ever to support DXR.

Bad showing for Ryzen though(in the CPU comparison). 1700x can't keep up with RTX 2080 Ti at 1440p DXR and ends up performing worse than the i5 8400 in this instance.
