Agreed. Gravity Rush and Puppeteer where a couple of my favorite experiences. I’d love a Puppeteer PS4/PS5 remaster with VR support.

I don’t know that it is uncommon around this time in a console cycle. Fanboys are doing everything they can to prop up their console of choice for a successful generation. I remember similar — not going to buy an XBox One/PS4 threads at the end of last gen. It was particularly bad when Microsoft employees were actively participating in the conversation.

for me PS4 has better games on the PSN network then xbox live, and bloodborne, and rpgs that I wanted. Xbox is not well known for Jrpgs, and now that they are putting all their games on pc, which I can just play on computer, instead of spending other few hundred dollars just to play on their console, makes me not even want to get a xbox. Then you have xbox fans bitching in the last of us 2 thread and days gone thread also.

Maybe you should follow your own advice. I know it's been a tough gen for some of the MS faithful.
While I'm not sure "Arrogant Sony" is back, they sure seem to be headed that way as of late.
Services, hardware, quality, features, portability, controllers, power, etc... The list goes on and on. Sony is substandard to its competitors in every. Single. Aspect... Aside from their exclusives.
As those exclusives get less and less diverse, and get more and more alike, I really don't have any interest a PS4 or PS5 at this point. At this rate, Sony will be relegated to having the worst console that's only redeeming quality is its plentiful bounty of single player bush hiding/ walking simulator games.
That's not even mentioning their poor return, crossplay, censorship, and service policies.

It is interesting how they've become westernized in a political/social sense and how Microsoft has ate their lunch to be the platform to support actual gamers and at least for now, haven't given into the censoring madness. PS4 exclusives are beginning to have a ideological taint to them, as well as the companies ongoing crusade against animated t--ties.
When the very first reply you have is 90m : 40m, you've already lost whatever argument you thought you had.
If you dig walking cutscenes, and hiding in bushes though, you're in for a treat.

When I think the alternative is Microsoft, a company that tried to piss down my back and tell me it was raining with the original Xbox One design, and the fact that they don't have many games, I think I'm sticking with Sony. The the things the OP cites are pretty minor when I consider the alternatives (getting butt rammed by Microsoft, for example). I go where the games are, and Sony has, hands down, the most games of any platform.

Who's waiting for next gen to play games? Certainly not Xbox One owners. Ashen, Below, and all the 3rd party holiday releases which look far better on the X is plenty. This has all come just within the last couple of months.
But yeah... I suppose you can play through Spiderman again for the umpteenth time. I hear there's a new funny glitch with each play through.

PC has the most games of any platform, so you should go there. You seem to love getting "butt rammed" by Sony, but would hate it if it were from MS. Does MS have too big an apendage, or is Sony just a gentler lover?

You can't get Sony exclusives on PC. And for $399 I've gotten an entire generation of endless entertainment you can't get elsewhere. I have an Xbox One, it just sits there. I just got Forza Horizon 4 on it for Christmas, and I'm looking forward to that. But it's hard to get too enthused about it when it's just a big paperweight most of the year, know what I mean? Of course, Microsoft wants me to keep buying new hardware while waiting for software, sort of a "give us fire and we'll give you wood" type of sitch, which has kinda been going on the whole generation, hence the butt ramming statement. If asking for more money for new hardware while not delivering on software doesn't qualify as anal coitus, what does?
EDIT: besides, PC gaming is a giant pain in the ass. When PC nerds start talking their shit about graphics cards they sound like a bunch of dorks at a Star Trek convention. It makes me want to slap the shit out of them, and then go slap the shit out of their parents for having them.

The uncensored version of BMX XXX was rated AO.
Certain types of content shouldn't be censored just because most people are fine with that content being censored. There are two situations where it's fine: (1) If the content nets the game an AO (or equivalent rating) or (2) if the content actually calls for reprehensible actions.

Pretty much this and I get more than enough console fix from just sticking with Nintendo (been buying their consoles since 1988).
I use to buy all three but that got old real fast from 2001-2008

I know for some people the censorship issue/concern is a big deal, but I don't find it is important for me...
I do not have emotional attachments (maybe a few nostalgia moments here and there during my childhood, but not to the product in particular) to any console or game companies. If they made a good game/product, I bought it. I love the Playstations, the same with Nintendo.
If Sony still releasing good PS product, I will buy it simple.

Good thing there wasn't any porn to begin with, nor was it censored nudity. Hell, if you want nudity go play RDR2 or GTAV. Both have plenty of sex and full on nudes.

I’m not sure about that. Guerilla Games who creates shooters creating Horizon Zero Dawn was a huge risk. Ratchet and Clank a platformer these days is a risk. Gravity Rush got a well deserved sequel and that’s another risk. Until Dawn, Ghost of tsunami, Gran Turismo, Motorstorm, Bloodborne, Demons Souls, Last of Us, Uncharted to name a few.
Sony probably has the most diverse portfolio out of the big three and seems to give their developers the most freedom. Nintendo is creative as well, but they tend to stick to tried and true, familiar franchises with a few new IP’s in between.
Hopefully, Sony’s newly found controversial direction won’t be too influential to their nationwide presence, creativity process and freedom and they will still cater to ALL regions and gamers.

I definitely agree with but at the same I kind of hate that Sony doesn't properly market their more unique games like Gravity Rush, Puppeteer and Tearaway. They basically sending them to die.

Why dot you people even waste your time with politics of a corporate company? All I know, besides the first 4-5 months in PS4s life cycle, the games just kept on pouring. Quality games, quality IPs, I made a 2 month break this summer because of obligations and now I have a solid backlog to catch up to. PS4 literally never slowed down and 5 years later we are getting even more AAA games. I literally cant keep up. I buy games to play them and fill up my free time, I couldnt care less about SONYs politics on censoring lolita games or that they went from $50 to $60 for PSN subscription. If all you do is read social media of a CEO and get into the politics of who owns which rights than Im afraid gaming isnt for you anymore. None of these "problems" people are mentioning are affecting the games I play. For me, SONY is a brand that has the games I want to play, that is the only way I will ever look at them, no interest at all who makes the PS5, who is the current CEO, who said what.

Taking the current gen exclusives into consideration...
Almost all of thier AAA releases have been third person single player cinematic games that feature a lot of walking, climbing, and hiding in bushes. It's pretty apparent at this point that Sony's devs have been given Naughty Dog's Toolset and it shows. Bloodborne and Spiderman are both different, but that is because they are third party devs.
While they have released games like R&C and Gravity Rush, I'd like to see more diversity from Sony. Diversity is Sony's weakness when you look at the diversity MS and Nintendo are putting out.
Nintendo having games like BoTW, Smash, and Splatoon alone has more diversity than almost all of Sony.
MS having games like QB, Ori, Sea of Thieves, Cuphead, and Sunset Overdrive alone has more diversity than almost all of Sony.
With Nintendo just beginning to hit it's stride with the switch, and MS aquiring studios left and right, this disparity is only going to grow. Sony's game portfolio needs a genre refresh.
